Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". Es gibt eine geräumige Küche mit Nachmittagssonne, ein modernes Wohnzimmer mit großem Erkerfenster und ein ruhig gelegenes Schlafzimmer mit Ausblick in den Garten. Das Stadtzentrum liegt 3km entfernt und ist mit fünf verschiedenen Buslinien zu erreichten. Eine weltbekannte Schriftstellerin lebte in der Wohnung diagonal gegenüber. Sie zog längst weiter, aber ihre Magie blieb.

Beautifully furnished one-bedroom guest suite in a central, but quiet, location and within walking distance of most tourist attractions - also a good bus service is nearby. The guest suite is a real home from home - comfortable for up to three people. It is part of my home but is a private space. As I live in the same building, I am available if you need help or advice. PARKING: you MUST let me know if you plan to bring a car BEFORE booking. The available parking won't suit everyone.

Our lovely apartment nestles right at the foot of Edinburgh Castle, down a little atmospheric cobbled lane just beside the Grassmarket, which is in the heart of Edinburgh's historic Old Town. In mediaeval times the lane was part of the stables area for the King of Scotland's horses.
