Inspired by the Backcountry huts throughout the area, it provides a rustic country-style experience. Situated 15 minutes outside of Twizel in the heart of the Mackenzie, it has direct access to all of the natural amenities that the area is world famous for including snow sports, mountaineering, hiking & tramping, mountain-biking, hunting & fishing among many other activities.

Natural materials throughout with all you need to enjoy putting your feet up or exploring. - Down the road from Lake Ohau & short driving distance to 4 other lakes. - 15 minute drive to Twizel - 30 mins to Ohau ski field - One minute off the Alps to Ocean bike trail

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space with uninterrupted views across the adjacent Golf Course to the Mountains .My Apartment is located in the Waitaki lakes Apartment Complex , situated behind the Otematata eatery and bar . It is a great base to explore Tekapo, Twizel, Mount Cook , clay cliffs at Omarama and the Coastal town of Oamaru . It is also on the A20 cycle trail . My Apartment is a golfers paradise and has an outdoor eating area and Sky T V. WiFi (wireless) is provided

Once a bustling 1960s jam bottling shed, this beautifully transformed space has been completely renovated into a stunning, private getaway that blends rustic character with modern comfort. Step inside and discover: A separate, peaceful bedroom A spacious, modern bathroom – complete with a washing machine. A full kitchen Set in a tranquil country setting, the property offers sweeping views of the Hunter Hills — the perfect backdrop for your morning coffee or evening glass of wine.

The Moorings

The Moorings is a special place to stay in Oamaru. You will never tire of the view over the harbour. The home itself is immaculate and stylishly renovated. The beds and linen are excellent quality. The toilet is separate from the bathroom. The walk down the path to the house is well worth it. The home is close to the Penguin Colony, the old part of town and Scott's Brewery. Unfortunately, the house is not child-friendly. We are unable to take bookings which include young children.

This 2 bedroom spacious cottage with all the comforts of home. Fantastic views of mountains fields with this year being along side hectares of sunflowers, flowering mid January 2026 . Private open space all only a 5min drive from the center of Oamaru. Each bedroom with comfortable Queen beds, amazing views A open plan living dining area , fully equipped kitchen , spacious bathroom. Laundry facility with front loader machine . All your basic supplies are there ready and waiting .

Buckley’s Retreat

We offer this unique tiny home with fantastic Ocean views. You can wake to the sunrise and watch the sunset at night all from your bed. We offer continental breakfast. Which includes eggs if the hens are laying. Outdoor spa, Complementary snacks and beverages. You may also bring your dog. 5mins drive to the centre of town. But have restaurants and grocery shops near by. Off street parking also. Just on the town boundary with a rural feel.

Elevated over the garden with a deck that completes the house giving prime views of the ocean and sunrise. 2 minutes down the hill to the historic precinct filled with many delights including Blue Penguins ,bakery, coffee, art galleries and breweries.The East Coast golden sand beaches are a short ten minute drive away.
