Our Curious | Opossum Hollow

Welcome to Opossum Hollow in the quaint mountain town of Travelers Rest! Our partially restored 1984 Airstream Excella, lovingly referred to as `Possum Holler', is situated on the same property as our home. With a covered space for parking and a 35 foot skylight deck, this outdoor space is designed for cool evening lounging and warm afternoon napping. We worked with a number of local artisans to design and create the entire space, ensuring most every element is handmade, upcycled, and recycled!

Fortunately the long range panoramic views Helene' opened were worth the effort it took to clear the downed trees from the miles of hiking trails. The untouched mountain provides an interesting before and after contrast to the power of Mother Nature, along with the amazing pace of her recovery. In many ways our woods are prettier than ever. The falls are lit after dark, and 38 windows and skylights pull in daylight by day, then frame the stars at night.
