Kinderfreundliche Ferienunterkünfte in Graaff-Reinet

To see the workings of a multi-generational family farm, stay in a 170 year old house with beautiful high-quality furniture and fittings, and engage with a kind and gentle-natured farmer and his wife…was wonderful. A gentle desert rain arrived as we got there and set the tone for one of the most restful holidays we have ever had. The farmer’s 2 dogs popped in every now and again and made themselves part of the family. Richard and Anika were accommodating and quick to sort out anything we asked for. The house was spotlessly clean and filled with history from the 1800s. There was a sense of warmth with the people living / working on the farm as well. The drive to Nieu Bethesda was around 15min going up a gorgeous gentle pass which presented something new every time we travelled. The highlight of the stay was walking up the hill behind the house and sitting on the bench overlooking the farm, valley, and mountains at sunset. Thank you Richard and Anika (our kids say hi).

A beautiful space in Graaf-Reinet. Quiet, safe, and easy to find. The townhouse garden provides a tranquil space to host a braai or relax. There’s a garage that fits a large car but not a bakkie. The on-street parking is readily available and safe. The Townhouse is also within walking distance of some great restaurants.

Ettienne is a great host and helped us with a perfect recommendation for dinner. If you're staying over I highly recommend Hello You as a lovely little spot for dinner.

Camderest House was a very welcome halfway stop on our way to Cape Town. It was definitely home away from home. Thank you for a very pleasant one night stay.

We had a wonderful stay! The stoep, lawn, and braai area were perfect for the kids to enjoy. The house was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The secure parking was a huge plus, especially for an overnight stop on the way to the coast—there was no need to unload the entire car. We highly recommend this place to anyone passing through or staying in town!

Classic location for our big group of family and friends. Beautiful old homestead surrounded by nature. We'll be back.

This was a little hidden gem and a last minute request, so very grateful for the hospitality. Ideal for a stop over or a base point to explore Graaff-Reniet. It was exactly what we needed when driving from Plett to JHB. Graaff-Reniet is such a stunning little town and the location of this spot is ideal. There is safe parking at the back and although you 'share' an entrance with someone, it is very private.

Stayed at Spandou Manor for the Stoep Tasting weekend. Stan is a fantastic host. The accommodation is perfect for a couples weekend away. Close to town and really peaceful. Highly Recommend.

Ticked all the boxes, comfortable budget friendly accommodation in a nice area of Graaf Reinet, which was perfect for my 1 night stay. Everything was great, off street parking, peace and quiet, very hot water, DSTV, and close proximity to CBD. Antonette was a fantastic host and I will certainly stay at Eagles nest again when I’m in Graaf Reinet again.

Awesome place to stay, we enjoyed every second. Especially after the long drive. It was very cosy, we settled in easily. It had everything we needed and wanted of the unit. Will definitely stay there again.

We had a short notice stay over and was pleasantly surprised. We really enjoyed the aircon and ceiling fan. Good barbecue facilities were available and the unit is nicely fenced in. We travelled with our small dog. The room was clean and comfortable. Close to some cute restaurants around the corner. I would definitely recommend for people passing Graaff-Reinet and are considering staying for the night.

We stopped over here on route from Pretoria to George. It was such a blessing. Comfortable, beautifully furnished, clean, all the amenities you need as well as more to just make you feel looked after. It definitely brought us the rest we needed. Carina was also super helpful and provided a lot of information and assistance. Thank you for a lovely stay, would definitely recommend it. Beautiful town with lovely old houses and wide open roads with incredible nature surrounding it. We had a picnic breakfast at the valley of Desolation ( Make time to do so) before continuing our trip.

Wonderful place to stay! Dennis was friendly and very helpful. He ensured the aircon was turned on before we arrived (on a very hot day) and it was very easy to communicate with him. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice accommodation well located. We arrived on a very hot day, the pool was amazing to cool down in and the rooms had aircon.
