the host is very friendly and the place is private and quite, suitable for stay, but not suitable for cooking, no cover for a single small pan.

This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway! It's so quiet and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful trees. There are also nice hiking trails nearby! The hosts were super friendly. I was greeted when I got to their property, and they were quick to respond to any questions I had. The cabin was so quaint and comfortable! I recommend this place if you want a quiet getaway!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a mountain biking getaway and absolutely loved it! The home was exactly as described—cozy, clean, and welcoming. One of our favorite parts was the beautiful outdoor lighting at night, which created a magical atmosphere among the trees. The location couldn’t be more convenient, and check-in was quick and seamless. We’re already looking forward to coming back soon!

Very new, very comfortable, close to everything you need, beautiful neighborhood. As mentioned in other reviews it is a little loud at times but if you just shut the window it blocks out all of the outside noise. The town has a noise ordinance at night but they need one in the morning ! Kitchen has everything we needed to cook breakfast and have coffee and tea. John is a great host and made it very easy for use to enjoy the beauty and rich history of Nevada city. Cheers !

Clean and comfortable property in a beautiful location. I enjoyed my stay at Puppet Inn. The rooms were exactly as described and pictured in the listing. The property was very clean and orderly. All of the Pinocchio and Disney theming was fun. I appreciated the guest guide with instructions for things around the home, plus a ton of recommendations for local businesses, restaurants and activities. Located close to the town and very convenient for Ray’s woodworking class. Thank you Ray and Marisa for a great stay!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home was exactly as pictured and very comfortable. Our boys loved the upstairs room with the two twin beds (although if they were smaller I might have worried about them on the stairs, as there is no railing for the last several steps). We loved the cozy fireplace and the hot tub, and enjoyed not having to use our car at all once we arrived— plenty to see and do in walking distance, including a nice park for the dog and kids. Spent a nice and relaxing girls weekend here. This stay is definitley somones home and not just an off the shelf air bnb stay. it had everything we needed and more, including a pre heated hot tub, robes, plush towels and some of the most comfortable beds!! We would most definatley stay here or at any of Ben's other listing's.

We had such a wonderful stay at Clare's home. The hosue is comfortable and the pool was perfect for beating the summer heat! The door to the pool is off the family rooom area but it is easily closable for keeping young kids away from teh pool if needed. The house is tastefully decorated with some homey additions like books and toys. We found it difficult to choose where to sit-- outside on the front porch or our by the pool lounge area. Although the house is not close enough to town to walk the location is very central and wooded. The view out the back is really wonderful. This is a great place for a family or anyone looking for an authentic Nevada City stay. Highly recommend!

My husband and I spent two days at Mi’s fabulous home after a wedding in Calistoga. Mi allowed us to check in early as I needed to be on a work zoom call. Her communication from booking until leaving was clear and warm. The house is just as it looks in the photos, clean well kept, light and airy. The deck surpassed our expectations and we spent a full day basking and enjoying the view. I recommend this air b and b highly, it is one of my favorites ever.

What a great spot! I cannot wait to stay here again. Exceeded expectations. The view was incredible- surrounded by trees. Two of the bedrooms also had that magical view. Very well stocked kitchen! Quick drive to historic Nevada City. We were able to easily drive to hikes north and south that we wanted to go to. I loved the ease of the keyless lock. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

the little house was perfect for us and our dog. In town, but above the main hub. The house is as described. the charm of the "old bones", in the floor, doors, and simple decor, was a good fit. We enjoyed walking everywhere and taking our pup with us. A very dog friendly town.
