To be honest, we were speechless. This property couldn’t have been better. We didn’t crack fantastic weather but our holiday was still incredible because this place had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our time there. We could dance in the rain knowing there was a warm shower and cozy fireplace waiting for us! Paul’s homestead is absolute magic, cannot wait to return here. What an amazing spot! We loved our 10 day stay at Sandra’s place. Even when ex tropical cyclone came through, our hosts made sure we were safe and comfortable and had everything we needed. You could not be closer to the beach, and the Horseshoe Bay meant that even in the storm, there was always a safe place to swim and surf - there were plenty of waves on offer for all abilities. Kitchen had everything we needed, beds were comfortable and wifi worked well. We will definitely be back!

The stay at Melanie's bach was wonderful; it is located in a little paradise, and was exactly as described by her. I had a wonderful viewing of the stars and planets in the middle of the Dark Sky Sanctuary, with the assistance of Good Heavans. Food & drink at the nearby brewery was good & casual. Attended the church next door to the bach, and was welcomed by the friendly neighbors.

Very beautiful and peaceful house. We had such a great time relaxing here and cooking in the stunning kitchen.

House is located in a beautiful relaxing spot only 5 mins walk to the beach. The house is very well equipped, great kitchen , lovely bathrooms, fantastic views, very comfortable beds and great outdoor living. Host is excellent. Highly recommend. We’d love to come again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Great Barrier Island . Dirk and Angela are friendly hosts and great communication. The house is in a perfect location, easy walk to pub, store , cafe and stunning beaches . Great views of the sea and hills . For an off the grid bach you couldn’t want for anything , tv , dishwasher, coffee machine. Family enjoyed the pool table and table tennis . Thoroughly recommend staying here and can’t wait to come back .

An absolute gem of a place in stunning surroundings. A perfect place to unwind and very unique! Loved our stay here and the hosts were exceptional with their communication, hospitality and help when needed.
