The Blue Cow Barn - Betsie Cottage

The Blue Cow Barn Accommodation is situated on a working farm, 1km from Barrydale town centre. Our farm has gone through many seasons - from a fruit farm to a dairy farm and now a guest farm. Our cottages are named after the cows that were part of the dairy and Betsie is our most flamboyant and eccentric cottage and cow. You'll love this cottage as it is situated in the original farm barn that dates back to the 1960's and the gorgeous mountain view. This cottage also has access to the hot tub.

You might spot roaming Blue and Gold Wildebeest. Situated 18km (9km dirt road) from the picturesque coastal town, Stilbaai.

A cosy self-catering apartment with an unspoilt view of the river mouth, ocean and adjacent nature reserve. Sit back and relax with a book or keep an eye on the tide, whether you'd like to go fishing, kite surfing or just to enjoy the great out-doors. The adjacent nature reserve provides numerous foot-path routes through the indigenous Fynbos. From the balcony you may have some early morning sightings of small antelope and other animals as well as an abundance of bird life.

A double room with en-suite shower room. There is a wardrobe a tv and WiFi. The bedroom leads on to a lovely enclosed area where there is a dining table and comfortable patio furniture, here you can sit with the doors open or closed and enjoy the wonderful view. There is a fridge and microwave with tea and coffee making facilities. Through these doors there is a large patio area with a bbq and utensils. The views from this room are amazing

Marshall Farm is a traditional thatch family-friendly farmhouse in Vermaaklikheid. The farmhouse is 30 yards from the river, and has an enchanting beautiful wind free outdoor lounge area on a jetty connecting you to the river. Hoofweg 14 is a beautiful beach house with breathtaking sea views. This three bedroomed house sleeps 6 people. Features include 3 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine and electric stove/ oven. DSTV is available on demand The house is equipped with loadshedding bulbs. The inside fireplaces doubles as a braai. The house is 12km from Stilbaai and within walking distance of the beach.

When we first opened our spot we were truly over the hills and far away... now the village has grown around us a bit, but the place can still feel pretty secluded. The architect-designed house mixes inside/outside space with plenty of room for family.. Explore wetland, river and the Langeberg mountains. With plenty of comforts this spot is paradise for children, dogs and a retreat for adults.
