Upon arrival we felt welcomed and relaxed. Thankful we chose Timberroot for our stay and will gladly stay again if we are ever in the area again!

This is the third time I have stayed in one of the cabins. I recommend my friends to stay here when they visit Chattanooga as well.

The place was great. The only "drawback", and this is only personal to us, was it took a little while to get into downtown Chattanooga. However, this is mostly because it is on a mountain (a gorgeous drive by the way). But it was not even really an inconvenience, it was just that it would not have been easy to run back if needed. It was never needed though. I would absolutely stay again as the room and space was fantastic. One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Great shower and awesome jacuzzi tub. It was very clean and spacious. Items (toiletries, kitchen accessories) provided that are not generally provided. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Extremely easy to check in/out. Easy to find. Hosts were very helpful and responded to any messages expediently. This was our very first AirBnB experience and it was a great one. We never felt uneasy or nervous. We had our total privacy and never had any issues. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

This is an amazing place to stay! It is in a beautiful, secluded location, and the drive to downtown Chattanooga is only 15 minutes. It was wonderful to spend the mornings in the city, and then the afternoons and evenings in this mountain escape. We especially loved the fireplaces, the swing on the porch, the hot tub, the Bluey toys, and the peace and quiet. Our 3 kids felt very special to have their own room, bathroom, and loft area upstairs. The house had everything we needed and was definitely the cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed in. I would highly recommend staying here and really hope that we can come back and visit again sometime soon!

This property was in a great location. It is very close to the Walnut Street Bridge, Tennessee Aquarium, and downtown shops. There are essential stores like Walmart, Publix, Whole Foods, Dollar General, and Dollar Tree. There are also some great restaurants nearby. The home has plenty of space and all amenities needed. The property manager was routinely and promptly communicating throughout the stay.

It was exactly what I was looking for. The. Idea are stunning and loved that the hot tub was in a perfect place so you can still see the mountains and water. We all had enough space to move around without being on top of each other

Beautiful tiny cabin! It was perfect for us and a fur baby! Right next to a cute farm with piggy’s and ducks! Sits on night next to the railroad tracks but the train noise didn’t bother us at all. I actually found myself excited to watch them. Nice jacuzzi however I wish one of the curtains faced the road. People walking by made it a little awkward but still enjoyable. Definitely worth every penny and made our first stay in Chattanooga well worth it!

We enjoyed ourselves so much. We were warmly greeted, and given a tour. We opted for the morning farm chores, and they were fun and educational. It was my husbands 60th birthday, and he milked a cow for the first time!! We were offered Bible study after the chores, and Brynne did a great job. Brynne was our farm chore guide too. She was excellent at both. At night, I opened our window, and the ladybugs greeted me, and I could see the stars from my pillow. The weather was perfect. I’m very happy with my stay, and would recommend it. We were about 45-60 minutes from Chattanooga, where our activities were for the weekend, but it’s an easy drive. It was so quiet and peaceful, that you forget there are animals right near you. My husband had a great birthday weekend!!’

Fantastic space and Michael was a great, responsive host. Highly recommend for anyone on a fishing trip or just who want to enjoy the river!

Stayed 3 nights with my dog. It was exactly as described and exceeded my expectations. The campground is located perfectly for exploring Lookout Mountain without having to deal with Chattanooga traffic. There are activities on-site to keep you busy for a half-day: a cave with guided tour, swimming pool, 2 dog areas (1 fenced), shuffleboard, half court basketball court, community firepit, and a camp store with all the essentials with great extended hours. That being said, I would recommend checking in before the camp store closes at 10PM Eastern Time...the check-in message and email stated that my cabin would be open with the key in it. That was not the case, and I'm glad I headed straight there and not off to Lookout or downtown before check-in. no big deal, but might have been, just FYI. 2 shower houses (1 very clean, didn't check the other). Would make a return trip without hesitation. Thanks for a great stay!

Large cabin with beautiful woods surrounding. Beautiful outside areas to sit and take in nature. Comfortable beds. Fully stocked with all the things a person may need.

This is a SPECIAL place! The Kingfisher Cabin is beautiful inside and out. A lot of care has been put into making this space perfect for spending quality time with family and friends in one of the most stunning natural settings in the Southeast. The short drive from Chattanooga began the decompression as we wound slowly through the river gorge. We found the cabin itself very private and cozy inside with lots of natural light, comfortable furniture, a great bluetooth speaker at the ready, and original art highlighting the natural beauty all around us. All the details are ready for fun and relaxation: the partially-covered porch, the flat backyard (great for playing games), the fire pit stocked with wood, the hammock and swing, and the swimming dock allowed everyone to fully enjoy the setting in their own way. The unspoiled viewshed and constant wildlife sightings made us feel like we were in a far-off place. My family and I will absolutely return, but for a longer stay next time!

Please stay here for a pleasant stay with local hikes 10-15 min access to everything and nearby cafes and restaurants and playgrounds. The house makes you feel right at home and you will feel super peaceful grilling in the porch.

A peaceful and private countryside escape just minutes from Ooltewah! This stay was everything we hoped for—quiet, charming, and full of character. Cynthia was incredibly accommodating, even with our last-minute booking. If you’re looking for an authentic Tennessee homestead experience, this is it. The goats (and their loyal guard dog, Sampson) were an absolute delight—feeding them treats was such a fun touch. One of our favorite memories was watching our daughter on the big tree swing and our dog exploring the fenced yard as the sun set. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

This was a nice cabin with plenty of space! We enjoyed staying here while in the area for work and having a roomy kitchen to cook our meals in. We'd definitely stay here again—especially during sandhill crane season with the Hiwassee Refuge right at your backdoor. Don't miss walking down to the water right after the sun comes up—it's magical with the early-morning fog.

Everything about our stay was absolutely amazing! The host left a binder that answered our every question, even the most minute detail! And if there was a question that we had to ask our host directly, it would be answered in less than 5 minutes. The cabin was also very clean! And despite the fact that we went during the winter season, we were still able to enjoy ourselves with the games, fishing rods and other things left for us. The environment was also very peaceful with little to no disturbances. All in all, we fully plan to come back to this lovely abode!

The house was lovely especially if you like privacy. It was quite the trek up the mountain though so make sure you are aware of that. It was a great place to unwind and relax would definitely stay again.

We were only staying for a weekend and we checked in on Friday evening. We were able to enjoy a firepit by the river and make S'mores. We were a large group of nine, and accommodations were great! Plenty of room!. The teenagers enjoyed the foosball table. Saturday it rained hard all day and evening so we explored Chattanooga . We didn't get to really use the river since it rained (and there were tornado watchs and warnings all evening) but we still had a great time!

Great stay, friendly dogs which was a plus, and host left us some fresh baked bread. Close driving distance for everything we wanted to do also

Me and my family had a great couple of days at the cabin. It appears to be more off the beaten path than it actually is. In reality downtown Chattanooga is just a few minutes away. Loved the rustic and reclaimed decor. I would highly recommend this AirBNB to any scenic city travelers.

What a picturesque cabin! The road in was a little iffy, may suggest a 4 wheel drive. Perfect spot for some much needed r&r. Cabin and amenities were just as described. We will definitely be back in the fall.

My husband and I had the most amazing weekend in Chattanooga, and staying at The Blue Ivy was the cherry on top! This charming cabin is perfectly located—it’s close enough to all the major attractions in the city, yet far enough away to provide a peaceful, private retreat. We were just a minute from Ruby Falls and Rock City, and a short 10-minute walk to Craven's House, where we were treated to the most breathtaking sunrise. The cabin itself is quaint, cozy, and full of character. It felt like the perfect little oasis, offering the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience. Whether we were out exploring or just relaxing on the porch, we felt right at home in this beautiful space. If you're looking for a private escape with easy access to the best of Chattanooga, I highly recommend The Blue Ivy. It’s the perfect spot for a quick weekend getaway or even a longer stay. We’ll definitely be back
