This is the only house I have ever gone back to and I've been there 4 times. You will not find a winter waterfront view like this anywhere else. The home is spacious, quiet, and well kept.

Had a great time. Very clean and felt like home. We will be back. Host is very responsive.

The home was a wonderful getaway. Very peaceful, beautiful location and wonderful to wake up to the sunrise over Lake Superior every morning and watch the sunset in the evenings. The house was exactly as pictured. One of the few stays where I was able to cook breakfasts and dinners and had everything I needed. The main family room with the fireplace was cozy and relaxing. We typically chose the places we stay for the sauna and this one was one of the best. It heated up quickly and steamed well. The lake view was amazing with peak color and close to fun outdoorsy things we love when in the UP.

We loved staying at Kyle’s place! The host was responsive and provided clear instructions and suggestions. The house was very clean and spacious, and had everything we needed. There was plenty of comfortable seating - loved the porch and outdoor space. The mattress was super comfortable, which is important to my old bones after a day of hiking/exploring! We were only two people, but you could easily accommodate a large family or group and have plenty of room! We loved the remote waterfront location, it was so quiet and peaceful. We explored the Baraga County area (recommend the Lake and County tour), easily made day trips east to the Michigamme area and west to the Keweenaw and to Houghton for a MTU football game. We even got to see the Northern Lights right from the yard! It was a great time and we are already talking about coming back!

I loved her cozy Airbnb! Felt like I was home 🏡 but a lot colder and way more snow 😊. Very very clean and had everything we needed to cook meals which is not always the case. PLENTY of sleeping room. It was just my daughter and I but wanted to check it out for the summer time and I will try to rent it again for then. Cheryl was super sweet and kind. We had an issue but she was very quick to respond and fix the situation. GREAT host! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

We loved staying in cat harbor, it was a beautiful place everything worked great, lots of space for the kids to run around. Anjila, and Cory were very flexible, and attentive. It was a great first time visit to the beautiful kenweenaw peninsula. Everything we needed was provided, the place was super clean.

When we ever return to Houghton/Hancock MI we’ll be sure to book this place. It was basically perfect.

My husband and I needed a last minute place to stay over the past weekend. We wanted to stay in the L’Anise area, since we have a friend that lives in the town, and this was the best option. The unit is clean, has an amazing view of Lake Superior and is very spacious. I was very impressed with the unit overall. I would gladly book again!

We had a fantastic time for a winter weekend getaway. The listing was accurate, the unit was very clean and spotless, and check in and entry was easy despite plenty of snow. Thanks for a great home in this winter wonderland!

Convenient location on the main drag in downtown Houghton. Cool exterior, spotless interior. 10/10, will definitely try to stay here again when I visit MTU.

Great for snowmobilers, about 1-2 blocks from direct access to trail 14 - no need to trailer. Room to park trailer and sleds. Close to fuel stop. Restaurants within walking distance, or off trail. Nice cozy and clean place, more room than typical hotel room with kitchen amenities.

This is our second stay at the wonderful cottage. Beautiful lake-views/frontage, shady picturesque surrounding trees, UP nature at its finest. We love the cottage and felt right at home and it provided everything we needed. Thank you for providing a wonderful vacation spot for us again!

I have only absolutely wonderful things to say about our stay here! The location, on the shore of Lake superior, near Mt Bohemia but also near to other attractions was fantastic. The house itself is lovely as is the sauna house. I have never stayed in an airbnb so well appointed. The decor was lovely, nice bedding, games, books, etc. The kitchen was better stocked with pans etc than my own. It was perfect for many lovely family meals. We had an incredible stay! I hope we will come back many times in the future! Thank you!

We came to the cabin for an anniversary getaway and it was sublime. Exactly what we were looking for: a darling cabin on the water, within easy driving distance to town and restaurants, peaceful and serene. Autumn was a fantastic host. I one hundred percent would stay again. Absolutely perfect getaway.

We visited for a weekend skiing trip at Mont Ripley. Shannon's place was clean, quiet, and the perfect size for our family of four. The location is just what we were looking for, away from the hustle and bustle of Houghton and Hancock but just a short drive to Mont Ripley and restaurants. Just a word of caution, the road leading to the cabin is rural, and during our three day visit we received about 8 inches of snow and it was never plowed. We didn't have any issues getting in and out, but four wheel drive is probably required on snowy weekends.

The cottage sits on it's own private mini peninsula with an always calm and quiet side with a dock. We really enjoyed the privacy and open shorelines of the property. It's under 20 minutes to Houghton and the same or less to Walmart so plenty close enough, but far enough at the same time. We're a family of 4 so the two bedrooms were great for us, but there was also plenty of indoor space for everyone to spread out during some rainy days. The outside was big enough for everyone to be outside and not even know where we all were.

We have stayed at Gail’s other rentals before and they have all been excellent. She’s flexible and easy to work with, and provides a clean place to call home for a few days. We will be staying again in the future!
