The Hoquiam River support runs of Chinook, chum, and coho salmon, steelhead, and sea-run trout. just a couple of miles upriver from Historic Downtown Hoquiam restaurants, stores and shops, 20 min to coast 45 min drive to Lake Quinault hiking trails South Shore Trailhead.

Enjoy walking the temperate forest on surrounding trails while having the opportunity to see elk, bald eagles, and otters. Adventure the Enchanted Valley from Graves Creek into the home of over 1,000 waterfalls or enjoy a relaxing day reading by the lake. The Kalaloch Beaches(located 35 minutes away) make for a great day trip exploring tide pools!
