The Barge was built in 1999 and was our family home for 10 years in Sallins. It is easy to get to by car, and by train it's only 30 minutes from Dublin city centre. Everything you need is very close, within walking distance. Breakfast cafe, pub, barge trips, fine dining and gastropub restaurants, grocery store, walking trails, and the train station is a four minute walk. Carefully restored and retaining the marvelous and iconic fittings one would expect from this period. The accommodation is exclusively yours and is moored in our private Dock with free parking on Long Walk in Galway City centre. Note - this is a REAL boat; independant of the land and it has a gangway and occassional faults - it is an experience - not a hotel.
