The Shoreland Home on Lake Lanier With Dock

Windows everywhere make it feel like a tree house, on the lake. Our families home is all about family & friends gathering and having fun. The spaces in the home are very socially engaging. Take an easy 45 second, walk to the lake in our quite cove and go for an evening canoe, its pretty special. Bring your own boat and tie up at the dock if you prefer. The creek in the back of the home, that flows into Lake Lanier, is lightly active and creates a nice soundtrack for evenings on the back decks.

Enjoy a cozy private room within walking distance of downtown Athens and UGA campus, along with two great parks. The inviting guest room has its own private entrance and a bathroom with a mosaic floor. It includes a queen-sized mattress, a microwave, a fridge-freezer, a filtered water line, a utility sink, and other amenities for a pleasant stay. Outside is an ever-changing garden. Greek Revival Farmhouse

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Pierce Farmhouse was built in 1870 as a wedding gift for a son. We have owned it for 20 years and have made another set of renovations to bring it back to its original charm and character while making it more comfortable with modern amenities. The farmhouse sits on 60 wooded acres in High Shoals and guests have access to our pond for fishing and river for canoeing. We are 20 minutes from Athens, and 15 minutes from Monroe and Madison.

Our Neoclassical home rests on a hillside acre among towering Georgia Pine.
