Recommended place to stay with families

A perfect place for a multi family vacation. Each family had a private spot and we had room to gather together to play games and cook. the hot tub and pool table made it extra fun.

My husband and I had one of the romantic evenings ever staying here. Absolutely everything was perfect. We walked to the restaurant, Highlands, and enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the golf course and a bottle of wine without the worry of driving. The bathtub & fireplace were everything!! Worth every penny & more!

We loved our stay in this Galena home. Perfect place for three families and the kids enjoyed the bunk beds. The check in instructions were easy and clear and we didn’t have any questions or problems during our stay. The dining table was massive and great for group meals and game nights. There was a cupboard full of games which was a great surprise. There was so much beautiful and historical decor, it felt like a log cabin museum! The hot tub was a great addition to this home, and we fully enjoyed the wood burning fire place. This location was the perfect “stay in” getaway for our group. Besides venturing out one day to visit chestnut mountain for some skiing, we made our meals and enjoyed hours of relaxing and fun filled quality time with our friends.

What a great place and great hosts! Nice of Don to share history of the place. One of the best stocked places we've stayed. Also very clean with plenty of bedding and towels! The barn located behind is wonderful--great pizza, great beers and plenty of room. Truly one of the best places we've stayed.

Great price for a lovely weekend. Group of ten were comfortable and had plenty of privacy. We went for the balloon festival which we could see from the yard. Plenty of towels for hot tub. Thank you!

This cabin was fully stocked with amenities, linens, soap, washing detergent, kitchen equipment and was super clean. The area around the cabin peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a cabin getaway. Definitely worth the price.

My family of 5 traveled to Galena over Thanksgiving and stayed in this home. It was very comfortable and clean, and my family had a wonderful visit. Everything in the home was as described, and Stephen was quick to respond to any questions that I had. The town is charming, and quaint. We went on a ghost tour, shopped downtown and went to Grant’s home. We would 100% stay at Stephen’s place again if we ever go back to Galena!

Enjoyed our trip to Galena and our stay in Elizabeth at the bnb. Only wish the temperature was warmer the weekend we was there but still had a good time

Me and my boys really enjoyed they love the hot tub and it was so wonderful to be able to take our puppy with us. Well I shouldn’t say a puppy. He’s six years old, but it was so stress-free. We had such a great time. You have a beautiful home

This was such a beautiful property to visit. The view is incredible. We especially enjoyed walking the trails that are cut through the meadows with our dog and watching the birds at the feeders and the cows grazing in the distance. The bottle of wine was a lovely welcome. Our teenagers enjoyed the pool table as well as the unique surroundings. Beds were comfortable. Short drive to Galena and Elizabeth. Highly recommend staying here!

The place was perfect. Everything was as described. Very clean and comfortable. Lovely settling and very relaxing, plus anything you could need was provided. The guest book was very informative. Quick ride to downtown. I will definitely check in to renting this spot again on my next visit in the near future. I’d love to stay again, it was so cozy I hated to leave! Thank you for your hospitality!

Ginger’s place by far is our favorite and nicest Airbnb location that we have ever stayed. The communication before our stay was top notch. We knew if we had any questions they would be quick to respond. Beautiful home we can’t wait to come back!

This is the 2nd time I booked Laurie's place, so you know we were pleased the first time. It didn't disappoint. Last time was for our son's wedding, this time was for our future daughter-in-law's girls' weekend. House was perfect for hanging out, close to downtown for shopping and a night out.

This was a great location. Very cute home. Its is probably one of the most well equipped and furnished homes I have stayed in. Lots of kitchen utensils. The basement bed was super comfortable. Will definitely try to stay here again.

Great place, very beutiful area, peaceful and quiet, short drive to Galena, and the Iowa state line
