We had a wonderful stay and were very close to our venues for the weekend at Hargray Theater and at The Big House Museum. The house was very easy to find and was like being home as soon as we walked in. Beautifully decorated, everything you could need in the kitchen to cook anything you want. We would absolutely stay here again. Mitch, the host, was great with responses to any questions we had even about the distance to the venue! Stay here and be close to everything Macon has to offer!

Crystal was very accommodating for our stay, the cottage was very homey. We enjoyed our time there, and would visit again!

When we made this reservation, never did we think how perfect this would be. You feel like your the only one from miles, but your close to everything in town. From the beginning the hosts were very helpful to answer all questions, and let us know of the extras they offer (YES get the firewood for the fire pit on the back patio). When we needed extra supplies, they were quick to run them by for us. The HOUSE, this home is stunning, cozy, and you feel like you living the life. So peaceful, lots of trees, we saw 15+ deer and babies, squirrels, bunnies, and beautiful birds. We went for several hikes on the property, and felt very safe and enjoyed every moment. The home was very clean and the hosts went above and beyond to make sure the needs of their guests were met. I promise we would make sure this home is available before booking another trip! My husband and I enjoyed another great stay at The Red Barn. Very private yet close to everything, beautiful wooded setting! Betsy is a wonderful host…she thinks of everything you might need and is readily available to answer any questions. We will visit again!!

Amazing home right on the lake! My family of five, including 3 teenagers, thoroughly enjoyed staying on the lake. The home was spacious enough for everyone to have their own space. The open layout provided a great gathering place for us to wind down at the end of each day. The pool area was a nice place to relax on the 85 degree days. My youngest son spent everyday fishing off the dock and loved every minute. There were a couple of nice golf courses in the area that we visited as well. The home and area make for a great area to enjoy the outdoors! There is a Walmart super store only 15-20 mins away so everything you forgot is available nearby.

It was a great location for Milledgeville and Eatonton. We also found a great nursery where we bought an apple tree and a fig tree.

This home was so lovely. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing space off the beaten path. As soon as you pull up you feel right at home. We traveled with a mutigenerational family and the home had something for everyone. There was plenty of space that we all felt we could be together or have our independent time. The screened in porch was perfect for eating dinner or lounging as you have your moring coffee and had a beautiful view of the lake. The house was well stocked to cook a family meal and sleeping spaces and beds were great. The kids (and I) loved the kayaks and paddle boards and fishing off the dock. The sanded "beach" they created was a great lounge area with a mix of sun and shade and was a nice alternative from the grass. Alice was a great communicator, was extremely helpful and quick to respond. We would absolutely stay again in the future.

We rented the house for a girls weekend for our 25th college reunion at Wesleyan College. Location was easy and a quick drive to campus , layout worked great for a small group of friends, and everything exceeded our expectations. Would definitely stay again.
