A perfect quick getaway for my wife and pup! Looked even better than the pictures provided on airbnb and had everything we could ask for. The stay was comfortable, peaceful, and without any hiccups. Communication was great throughout. Would definitely stay here again if back in the area!

Spacious, comfortable and beautiful home! We were in town for a girls’ weekend, attending a bridal shower. The bedrooms were very comfortable and we really enjoyed the open layout of the two living rooms, kitchen and large backyard. We didn’t get to spend much time in the house since we were in town for family and wedding festivities but it was nice to have a relaxing and comfortable home to come back to after being out and about all day & evening. Brandy was super responsive and the house was well stocked with everything we needed. Marking this as a favorite and would love to stay again!

Shawn's home was amazing, all the little things in the kitchen took me back into the past when I was younger. It is super nostalgic and pretty to be in this house. The silver is pristine and well kept. This house took my breath away when I stepped foot in it. Not only that but all the little things like extras if you forgot a toothbrush or toothpaste. Our Thanksgiving by the Kern was a dream, A perfect place for our little family team. Quail danced in the yard, deer roamed at night, And the river’s song brought pure delight. Ty’s kindness made check-in a breeze, A home filled with love, so easy to please. The setup was perfect for a father of three, A 9, 5, and 3-year-old, happy as can be. The backyard was magic, the views serene, Nature’s beauty, like a living scene. Laughter and memories, joy in the air, A trip to remember, beyond compare. We’ll cherish this stay forever more, By the Kern River, a place we adore. Thank you from the Walker’s for a wonderful stay.

Wish we had been able to stay here longer! We found this gem as we were looking for a pit stop on our road trip. The instructions are so clear, that even in the pitch black of 11pm, we had no problem finding this home. Waking up to the beautiful landscape in the morning was a pleasant surprise and had us wishing we could have enjoyed this home longer. Thanks for being a great pit stop and host!

I cannot recommend Laura’s Airbnb highly enough! From the moment I arrived, it was clear that Laura is a genuinely kind host who truly cares about her guests. Her communication is excellent, and she’s always quick to follow up if there’s an issue. For example, when my car unfortunately leaked oil onto the driveway, Laura handled the situation with incredible professionalism and kindness, ensuring everything was resolved without any stress. The space itself is immaculate—spotless, fully stocked with high-quality amenities, and exactly as described in the Airbnb listing. The price is beyond reasonable for what you get, and it’s worth every penny. The location is supreme! Whether you’re on foot or driving, everything you need is within easy reach. It’s also kid-friendly, with parks and a golf course nearby, and dog-friendly, which was a huge bonus. The neighborhood is super quiet and feels incredibly safe—I’ve enjoyed peaceful night strolls and even found the neighbors to be kind.

Laura’s place was perfect for our quick weekend trip to Bakersfield. We were visiting some family and this place was 5 mins away from our event we were going to. It was quiet, super clean, and spacious. The bathroom had a lot of counter space which was helpful while getting ready in the morning. I highly recommend staying here!

Paul is gracious host. He is friendly, professional, and easy to communicate with. Paul has a wealth of knowledge of the immediate and surrounding areas. I would stay at Paul's again. I highly recommend Paul and his Air B-N-B.

We booked this home for our family Christmas trip, and it honestly surpassed our expectations. Lots of room for a big family. The sauna was a plus for us, it snowed when we stayed there and it was such a perfect cozy home for after some snow fun. There isn’t much of a grocery store nearby besides a convenience store. We took a lot of things from outside of the town(near castaic stopped by a Ralph’s) which helped with meals and snacks. They did provide a lot of toiletries so that helped, I would definitely travel again to this property with my family next year. communication was very easy to have and check-in was a breeze!

We spent a long weekend getaway at Pete’s with our children. The house was clean, quiet and comfortable. It is very close to everything but also secluded in a private neighborhood tucked back away from the main road. It had every single thing we needed and way more. We especially enjoyed the beautiful views from the porch. We would absolutely stay again. Pete was a great host- he was easy to communicate with and gave very clear instructions.

Some reviews noted spider webs and debris. We saw no evidence of this. Others complained about the heat system in the guest room. We’re familiar with a split system so had no issues. There are 3 different systems in that unit so maybe they were trying the electric wall heater which isn’t very efficient and what seemed to be a gas radiator which didn’t seem to have the pilot light on and also wouldn’t be as efficient. We had timely responses on the few questions we had ahead of our arrival

We traveled to Bakersfield with family and friends to attend a fundraising event. The space was perfect for us all to gather - with beautiful large dining area, kitchen, and living room. There were plenty of bedrooms for all of us; the beds were very comfortable; linens were very nice and plentiful. The house is light-filled and surrounded by mature trees. A highlight of the home are the beautiful stained glass windows above the stairs.

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb over the weekend! The place was absolutely amazing—spacious, clean, and perfect for our group. We had a lot of fun throughout our stay. Gus was incredibly responsive and attentive to all our questions, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great getaway!

I had a large group getting together for our annual friendsgiving celebration and this place was perfect! Everything was comfortable and easy. They even allowed me to check-in early which I really appreciated. The location is beautiful. We went on a hike and utilized the club pickleball courts. The only thing was there wasn’t a dishwasher- which was a bit surprising given the size of the house and kitchen. It was okay for us, but something to be aware of if you plan to do a lot of cooking as we did. Otherwise a very well equipped house. Overall everything was great and we all had a good time.!
