We had a truly wonderful stay at Anthony’s spectacular home in Windermere. The house itself is beautifully maintained with all the amenities a family could need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. One of our favorite features was the garden and the lovely conservatory — perfect for morning coffee or winding down in the evening. Located within a private community, the property felt very safe and serene, giving us a real sense of comfort throughout our stay. It’s just a short 4-minute drive to the charming town of Bowness, where we enjoyed exploring the shops and dining at some great restaurants. Plus, it’s conveniently located for day trips to many of the Lake District’s top attractions. Anthony was a fantastic host — very communicative and accommodating, especially with a flexible check-in that really helped us out. We highly recommend this place and are already looking forward to coming back again!

What a stunning little cottage. Great space for me, hubby and our dog. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and more. It was very comfortable and cosy and the attention to detail is amazing. The welcome basket was an added bonus and very much appreciated. It was just a 5 minute walk into the centre of Bedale and it has everything you need.

The cottage is lovely with beautiful surroundings. The living room in particular is stunning. We are a family of 5 and had plenty of space. Our eldest (11) loved the loft bedroom. Instructions from Liz were excellent and using what3words we found the cottage with no issues. The area is gorgeous and we saw lots of wildlife on the way which was great. The cottage is about an hour away from the centre of Edinburgh, so it’s ideal if you’re wanting to visit Edinburgh but stay away from the noise of a city. Absolutely perfect! We love staying here, it has everything you need to feel immediately at home, relaxed and comfortable. The surrounding countryside is just beautiful and the views from the hot tub are what makes staying here even more special! Catherine and Ian are very attentive hosts and Catherine was very responsive to any questions we had. We love this cottage and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, private, relaxing and very special place to stay in the Lake District.

We had a great stay at Lucy’s place in Kendal. When we arrived, we were met by Steve who gave us a warm welcome and showed us around the accommodation and facilities. Everything was spotlessly clean and really well looked after, with everything we needed for our stay. There was a lovely welcome pack waiting for us with crisps, chocolates, biscuits, and all the essentials like milk, tea, and coffee – such a nice touch. We also really appreciated the unperfumed soap, shampoo, and shower cream that were provided – perfect for anyone with sensitive skin. All in all, a really comfortable and homely place to stay. Would definitely book again

The place was great and surrounded with good restaurants and coffee shops. was the perfect place to stay as we went to the zoo and the buses were just round the corner. Definitely recommended for anyone staying in Edinburgh.

We had a fantastic few days staying at the Wigwam. It was clean and very spacious and had everything we needed for our family of 4. The location was perfect, right on the beach and a short distance from the main centre and shop. Susan was very responsive with any quiestions we had. We will definitely return :)

This is a great place. We could’ve done with longer - struck gold with the weather so didn’t use the leisure facilities as much as we might have. Really well placed for visiting Keswick and Penrith. Whinlatter Forest took us about 30 mins to get to - great for walks, bikes, cafe.
