Climate controlled! What is a Yurt? Yurts originated in Mongolia. The Mongolian people were nomadic, and they took their homes (yurts) with them as they tended to, and traveled, with their livestock. Today yurts are built on a platform & consist of two thick layers of canvas with a layer of insulation in between, and most notably a domed skylight at their center. 5 mins to Alpine, 30 mins to Fort Davis, Marfa, and Marathon. Big Bend Park, Terlingua, & Lajitas are roughly 100 miles away.

The Root Beer Adobe Hotel is an old-world experience nestled within a collection of folk art; primitive antique interiors complimented with high ceilings, concrete, brick, and saltillo floors, all bathed in natural desert light throughout. Time Capsule in the Sonoran Desert

The Time Capsule is a unique experience in a space age module dropped in the middle of an 11 acres desert sanctuary and sculpture park, adjacent to the Saguaro National Park. Enjoy the quietness of the desert in a safe environment located at just 35 minutes from downtown Tucson. Because of the refinement of the interior design, we cannot accept any pets in the Time Capsule. However, service animals are welcome. Please note that check-in is in-person only and not later than 10:00 PM.
