We absolutely loved our stay here! It's a dog-friendly place that makes it easy to manage pets while relaxing. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Durango for convenience, comfort, and cleanliness. My wife got up early every morning, made coffee, and sat outside at the patio table reading. We hope to rent this place again soon when visiting our daughter who lives nearby.

Lynsee was excellent and very helpful in every way! This place was more than I expected and I couldn’t be happier with the location. Perfect place to stay and enjoy Durango. Food was great and everything the wasn’t in town via hot springs and ski resorts were only a short drive away. I will definitely be coming back again!

This was our second stay at Kate's Place and my husband and I were, once again, impressed by our hosts and the accomodations. Room layout, kitchen and bathroom equipment, comfort of the bed and layout, were all excellent. Parking in the driveway was great, as was outdoor and indoor table and chairs. Directly across the road is a view of the Animas River, with river access from a small beach, and the Animas River Trail (with access to a dirt trail on the left side and to a paved trail on the right side). Shopping, restaurants, and access to downtown are blocks away, as is the road that proceeds to the ski resort. Hosts were present, friendly, and available.

I loved staying at this beautiful location. the house was amazing and clean and very nice.

Gail was very flexible with my check-in. Got in later than I intended but she left the lights on (outside & inside) and asked me if I needed anything even though it was late. The suite was so cozy & comfortable plus super clean. I was extremely tired from the long drive but got a good nights sleep - so peaceful and comfy bed. I forgot to bring my own water but she had me covered with plenty of cold water. There were even English muffins, a toaster, with homemade raspberry jam, and butter. Next time I’m back in Durango, I’d love to stay @ 2nd Wind again!

Susan's place was exactly like described in listing. Room had everything you would ever need for your stay. It was very quiet there and we sat out on covered patio every night. Talked with Susan a few times and she was very nice. We would stay here again if in the area again.

This place was so cute/comfy/clean, a very welcoming space made us feel right at home. I just wish we got to stay and enjoy it for another night!
