Wizzy and John’s cabin was fantastic! We traveled with kids (10, 7, and 3), and they had plenty to keep them entertained within the compound, especially with the stables right next to the A-frame cabin. We also enjoyed a walk to the Mau Mau cave with Simon, the guide, who was incredible. Wizzy was a wonderful host—kind, responsive, and quick to address a minor issue with hot water and power, which was resolved . Overall, we had a great experience, and my kids even rated it their second favorite holiday! I’d definitely return.

The place is very clean and in a secure area. The Host was very welcoming, ensured we got everything that we needed. Definitely a place you can revisit whenever you want to stay in Nanyuki.

Marion's place is amazing. It is well kept amd clean. In a serene area, with a beautiful view of Mt. Kenya. Maina the caretaker was wonderful and very responsive to our inquiries. I would definitely recommend. thank you so much.

River Run House is beautiful, Sarah was a great host and the staff on site were helpful. The place is brand new but already feels cozy and is tastefully appointed. Beautiful views from the balcony and rooftop and the pool is perfect for cooling off. We visited one of the recommended restaurants in Nanyuki and had a great stay overall. Recommend River Run house as a place to unwind and spend quality time with family or friends.

Thyme Villa is breathtaking. Views of Mt. Kenya are incredible, and the photos of the home don’t do it justice. Communication with Antonella was seamless - the directions are clear and easy to follow. Tabitha and Mary are standouts and provided exceptional service. Cannot recommend a stay at Thyme, or any of the other Villas enough!

Our time at Betty's place was just what we needed. We stayed in Lavender Cottage, which allowed us to cook our meals easily while having our own pace daily between work and resting. The pool was lovely (wear sunscreen), the daily breakfast was delicious, and the outside area with a fireplace was perfect for some downtime. Betty and her staff were so helpful! It combines a hotel with beautiful amenities, a small B&B, and a safe, private compound. We took a pilates class in town one morning, but otherwise, we stayed put the week we were there. We hope to explore more on our next visit. Highly recommend!

Batian House is a home away from home. I was particularly impressed by the simple but elegant furnishings - no overkill. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants a calm quiet time in the wild.

I was received by Laureen who was an amazing host! She guided us through, instantly provided a heater when requested, recommended activities and checked up on us. The place is exactly like the pictures snd even better. Quiet, cool, calm and beautiful

On arrival we were welcomed by Raymond & Kendi at the front. Once signed in Kendi directed us to the tent and assisted with the luggage. Upon the first few days the team and especially Maggie and Anthony made us feel welcomed and were attentive to every need. The location is beautiful, peaceful and welcoming. The local wildlife is also there to make you welcome, they will make some sounds in the night but don’t fear as the security measures in this place are top notch. Peter and Eric are great at helping prepare your rooms for the evening and are great guides to take you around the grounds in the evening ensuring your safety. You can go for a local hike, ask for Isaac Mwangi as he’s a local database. Finally Betty and her cohost were amazing, responsive and very proactive making for a stellar experience. I can’t wait to go back.

Zilpers place is wonderful, there's enough parking, the place is secure and serene. (Actually you can see mt kenya from the house), Zilper is also a wonderful host i must say. She is welcoming qs well. The house is clean with everything that you need.

Really beautiful place to stay. Super worth what you would spend to stay, and the host and caretaker of the home are really helpful and proactive with anything needed during your stay. Would highly recommend it to someone staying in Nanyuki. It's about a 10min drive to main Nanyuki, so close by to anywhere you would want to go in the town. Thank you again to Margaret and James for taking care of me during my stay.

I was needed of a quiet-get away from NBO, when I get to this retreat, I couldn’t ask for more. Jacqueline, the host has been responsive and attentive to your questions and needs. She also has her full team including Arnold, and the caretaker on ground, Simon who will make sure you’re taken care of. The cabin is so cute, lovely, clean and environmental friendly. Not only you will reconnect to the beautiful nature but you will reconnect with your soul through the cold fresh-clean air, the sounds of nature and warm charcoals provided. The morning coffee is my favorite moment, so does a small walk to the stream just by the house. If you like outdoor & camping you’ll know what to prepare. Not about sleeping in a tent (as beds are provided & hot-shower) but more of the self-catering preparation and personal warm-clothes. If you are short on things, there’s Jamaa supermarket 15 mins drive-away to Ol Kalou town. So, take off your shoes, enjoy & feel the green yard! It’s one beautiful one.

We enjoyed our stay at the place. The place is near the CBD and easy to reach. They are well stocked with all the necessities you may need. The beds and beddings were clean and comfortable in a quite neighborhood.

After a wrong turning we managed to get to the place which was as private as listed. A place to totally switch off and unwind. I’d recommend this place anytime for those seeking tranquility

I was in search of a quiet, peaceful place, and I found that at Joy's place. I love how we easily accessed Nanyuki from her place, and the recommendations she had for us -- especially a visit to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. She was super responsive, and such a great host. We loved it, and will most certainly be back!!!

The Naromoru Country Home was a delight to stay at! The big beautiful gardens and lawn were lovely. The house is old, but charming and big. There is plenty of space for a family or two to enjoy the stay. It's a very peaceful location, with views of Mt. Kenya, if the clouds clear.

very nice and peacefull stay, staff were very helpful and the house is very nicely furnished and decorated. would recommended this to anyone who wants to get away from it all..... also good for mountain biking!!
