The Old Bakery Flat

The Bakery Flat is situated in the heart of Sutherland, in the village of Lairg. It is a central location for touring the Northern Highlands and is just 15 minutes off the NC500 route. It is an ideal flat for either a single traveller, a couple or a small family. There is a double sofa bed in the living area. Lairg has many amenities including 2 shops, a fuel station, a train station, post office, 2 restaurants, a pub, café and visitor centre. It also boasts forest walks and a beautiful Loch.

Cone House West~ Historic Home on Enchanting Loch

A magical place to feel the tranquility of the trees and the history of the Highlands. For a nature lover, it's impossible not to fall in love with the setting, with its 300-year-old trees, large wildlife-filled loch, long valley views from the shady swing bench, and woodsy walks. A stunning retreat, comfortable and relaxed, Cone House West is also the perfect place to come home to after a day of exploring. A Bed/sitting room in the trees, tiny full kitchen, claw-foot tub and a wee green shop.

Foulis Castle Gate Lodge

Foulis Gate Lodge is a Highland cottage on the Gates of an historic, private, Highland estate with its own drive. The secluded location offers direct access to extensive gardens. The nearest amenities are 2miles in Evanton or 5miles to the ancient Burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm). My place is good for NC500 travellers, couples, and business travellers.

Corry Cabin is a super get-away for anyone travelling around Scotland on the NC500 or on your own adventure looking for a unique and homely stay. Off-grid-ish, it has all the amenities you would need for day-to-day life including a sink, mains water due to licensing, mains electric, free wifi, a shower and toilet. Corry Meadow is a working croft, go on an adventure then come home to a cosy fire and a comfy bed. FROM MID NOVEMBER TO END MARCH we switch to winter mode because of frost.

It is centrally locate for day trips to the north, west and east coasts of the North.

Please Google or read the description in the photos of what a bothy is. If expecting a five star hotel do not stay here. Bothy with a comfy bed. One up from camping. enjoy the beauty and simplicity of the Strath Oykel scenery. A gas stove and a loo with a view. The Bothy benefits from a fire pit to enjoy sundowners and northern lights from, looking onto a loch. There is also a log burner for those chillier evenings. Bring drinking water and food. Everything else should be there.
