Our family of six stayed here visiting family over the Christmas holiday. We were very comfortable in the space, which provided plenty of room for all of us. It was even decorated for the holiday season, which was a nice and welcoming touch. The setting was peaceful and offered natural beauty, and yet we were a very short drive to local grocery stores and restaurants. James was very proactive and responsive in his communications, even over the holiday, which was much appreciated. We also enjoyed being close to Sam Houston Jones state park, which offered some nice and picturesque hikes. Highly recommended for a family spot.

If you’re looking for a place to get away that’s quiet and peaceful, this is the place to go. I will definitely be staying here again and recommend it to everyone

Great house with a very large amount of space for activities. The kitchens are fantastic for cooking for large groups. I would recommend Doc’s. Everything was perfect.

Annual visit with family for Mardi Gras. Booked hoping it would be close to the parades and festivities, and lucked out! House was as advertised and in a Fantastic location. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and Happy we booked this property!

We were in town for a wedding and chose Liz’s place as it was near the venue. It was the wonderful! The apartment was just as described, very clean, stocked with necessities, and was easily accessible. The furnishings were comfortable and there were even board games available to play. It is the perfect downtown spot to walk to restaurants, shopping, and local sights. We were even able to visit the farmer’s market across the street on Saturday morning. Liz was a helpful host - very responsive and friendly. If ever in Lake Charles again, we will certainly book this apartment! Thanks, Liz, for a great stay!

I adored staying here. The hosts have thought of everything! And they are super sweet about updating you about interesting things going on around town. My stay was excellent- I always felt safe, if I needed anything all I had to do was ask, and the cats are sweet as can be. This is a safe location, charming, well equipped place to stay. Definitely recommend- and will stay if I ever make another business venture this way.
