With its own grounds and parking, this stone property is on the edge of three counties and perfect for exploring the ancient south east and its coast.

No 3rd party bookings and our accommodation is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. The 18th century, converted barn, is perfectly located to explore Ireland’s sunny south east. Just 10 min by car from Waterford city centre you are right at the heart of the south east, the perfect base to explore the famous sites of county Waterford, county Kilkenny, county Tipperary and county Wexford. Visit the beautiful gardens of Mount Congreve or Woodstock gardens. The barn has an open plan layout, where you can relax beside the cosy stove and plan your next day’s adventure.

Cosy Loft in the Trees

This gorgeous little hut is tucked into the upper corner of a hay barn and has the cosy feel of a treehouse. Set in a peaceful rural spot overlooking open fields, it offers a real sense of escape. Although close to other buildings where we live, it is completely private. Access is via two short flights of sturdy steps leading to a balcony. Kilkenny city is a 20-minute drive away, but a car is essential as there is no public transport. An ideal place to retreat and unwind.

Hawes Barn - 200 Year Old Cottage

Set within the Croc An Oir Estate (translated as Crock of Gold) and tucked away down a leafy boreen, this beautifully restored, converted stone barn offers a truly relaxing holiday where hospitality and a traditional Irish experience is offered in abundance. Croc an Oir is a romantic retreat for a couple, and traditional features include a cosy woodburner, a half door, arched windows and a delightful loft style bedroom. There is also a private courtyard and garden.
