Situated in the Central Drakensberg, Shepherd Farm is perched on a ridge overlooking the Bell Park Dam, and the majestic Champagne and Cathkin peaks of the Drakensberg mountains. These mountains form part of the Maloti Drakensberg Transboundary World heritage Site, renowned for its spectacular natural landscapes and beautiful fauna and flora. Elm Tree Garden Cottage

Rose Garden Manor House B+B Sitting in the shade of a 150 year old Elm tree with a view of Platberg Mountain and sleeping in one of Harrismith’s historical landmarks is a treat. Harrismith is the gem of the Free State, the gateway to the Drakensberg. The Rose Garden manor house was built in 1895 and is owned and run by David and Gill Weaver who have maintained the tradition of a classic B+B so you get to experience life with a South African family.

Wyford - Poplar Cottage

Wyford is a beautiful old school farm set in a valley just 2km off the N3 (about midway between Johannesburg and Durban) offering private self catering cottages. Wyford is great for families, especially with children, and good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. It is of historical interest as it is situated on the first pass over the Drakensburg mountains used by the ox wagons taking supplies to the mines from the coast.
