my husband and I stayed for 3 nights with our 2yr old retrevier dog. home from home comforts. our dog enjoyed Mark's dog company and it was very safe for him to investigate around the grounds, which are just nature at its best. we will definitely be back again. close to beautiful beaches. we visited Darbys pub for a few lovely Guinness and no problem having our dog with us. all in all a lovely stay. a great find!

Castle Barmeath was an incredible Airbnb experience. Lord & Lady Bellew showed us around their 400 Year old Castle which has remained in their family all this time. I’m just amazed at how history one place can hold. There was about 300 acres surrounded by stone walls. Trails trough a gorgeously manicured forest with many trails leading to secrete walled gardens full of fruit trees and flowers. There was even a natural swimming pool and stone bridge over a lake. I feel so lucky to have gotten to experience something so grand and magical!

Mary was easy to work with and very communicative. We were a group of six people in the house for three weeks, and she ensured there was plenty of toilet paper and linens for everyone. Portmarnock is a quiet, small town, and we had a large grocery store, a few cafes and the beach within a 10-15 minute walk. For any greater needs, the house is on two main bus routes to Dublin and Malahide is a quick taxi ride away.

The cottage is lovely, the surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. If you're looking for a nice peaceful and quiet getaway then I would recommend it. Not walkable into Carlingford but it's quite a short drive. My first time staying somewhere so remote and I did enjoy it

The kids say this is the BEST Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in (we have over 25+ stays). If you are interested in a true Irish farm experience, this is the place for you. Over the course of 4 days we rode horses, shot clay pigeons, watched the sheepdogs work, walked the estate, did archery, sat by a blazing hot fire whilst having a good chat, and enjoyed learning about the history of the land- including ancient ring forts from over a thousand years ago. We have adopted Brian & his wonderful animals into the family, I think he’d claim us too. Things to remember- this is a working farm. You may encounter muck, dust, spiders but it is a functional space to lay your head at night after you’re exhausted from a day on the farm. Brian is responsible and available to help with anything you may need. I’d say this is the last of its kind in Ireland, enjoy it while you can.

Great location, also easy check in service. Overall good choice for our group of friends. Would stay again.

Geraldine was so helpful for the day before my wedding where we stayed in the lovely Lakehouse! Everything was so clean and the house was very spacious to utilise for getting ready! I would highly recommend Geraldine and the Emyvale Lakehouse for a place to stay! Thanks again Geraldine

This place is incredible! Being able to stay in a place that is almost 3 times older than my country, Canada, was a great experience. Dave and Sue were the most gracious hosts. They went above and beyond what was ever expected. The restaurant they recommended to us, in the nearby town, had great atmosphere and even better food. If we are ever back this way again, we would stay here in a heartbeat!

This location knocked it out of the ballpark! Pristine, beautiful, spotless and great hosts with lots of recommendations...we loved our stay here and will be back. It was so lovely, we didn't want to leave! But it is a great location for exploring and going into Dublin and then returning to a peaceful and serene home base. A beautiful blend of cosy charm and great amenities. This house is equipped for all occasions and all weathers! Nestled above Dundalk Bay it offers mountain walks, great views and comfortable accommodation. The cottage is more rustic than the barn - a combination of both is a winner for family groups. We loved the sauna after a long walk. And we were delighted with the welcome and the communication during our stay. Nothing was too much bother and we were made to feel like locals. Thanks a million.

We had a great stay at Teresa's place.. Cozy and clean studio with a view to the lough. Checkin was easy, Teresa was responsive to messages and provided tips for local places to visit. I'd recommend to anyone planning to visit the area.

We had a wonderful stay in the treehouse quirky and very different with excellent views great location for Carlingford and two minutes walk from a friendly local bar extremely dog friendly Padraig went out of his way to meet us and was very responsive and helpful thanks so much Karen Stephen and Jessie 🐶

Abbey View was just what we expected. Every room was enjoyable to be in. I especially appreciated that the kitchen was stocked with cooking and cleaning basics. Since we didn’t have a car, the walkable location was important. And Carlingford is a delight.

Fiona was a lovely host. We were welcomed with some delicious homemade scones. We had a lovely stay in Muckno.

Tolle Wohnung direkt am Strand in Blackrock! Die Lage ist super, viele Restaurants und pubs in der unmittelbaren Umgebung. Der Ausblick auf das Meer aus den Schlafzimmern ist atemberaubend. Meine Tochter und ich haben hier eine sehr schöne Woche verbracht und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit Alison ist sehr gut, schnell erreichbar und war auch sehr flexibel was Check in und Check out betrifft. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Caroline's cottage was a wonderful about to base ourselves for a wedding in Carlingford. The cottage is spacious, clean and so peaceful. It was wonderful to have Caroline nearby to assist with questions. We felt like we were being welcomed to someone's home. Our children really enjoyed being here.

Great big house! We stayed as a large group for a birthday for one night and it was perfect for us. Nigel was very helpful and accommodating. Great location walking distance to bars and restaurants but very easy to get a taxi too if you don’t feel like walking. Would definitely book again if we stayed in carlingford again.
