The location of this home in Kingston is just breathtaking. The lake, the mountains, the quaint little town -- all of it is perfect. It is a 45-ish minute drive from Queenstown, but that was a plus for us as we had day trips planned to Milford Sound and Invercargill. Plus, the drive to Queenstown is so beautiful. The house was very clean and cozy. We made ample use of the washing machine (which conveniently has a dryer option as well). I would highly recommend a stay at Ian's.

It truly felt like a hidden gem - secluded and peaceful, offering the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, yet still conveniently close to town and the beach. We loved the tranquility of the location, and it was the ideal spot to come back to relax and unwind. We stayed here prior to a cruise on Doubtful Sound. Very comfortable rural setting on a farm for two couples. A dozen farm eggs for us in the fridge, making for a nice meal of omelets, combined with some extras purchased at nearby Four Square. Plenty of cereals and yogurt. Highly recommended.

This was our second long stay at Ida Cottage. It is in the right location for anything in Lumsden, is quiet, peaceful; up to date and perfectly clean and functional. Duncan is flexible and eager to help in any ways.

Such a lovely host and very inviting place to stay. We were treated with juice, milk and hot cross buns being Easter. The cottage has everything you need for a home away from home. Walking distance to Queens park and only minutes drive to town. Super clean, tidy and well equipped with all the amenities. We had two vehicles which Lee accommodated for on-site. A very quiet and peaceful place to stay. Would definitely recommend thanks again Lee all the very best.

Perfect apartment stay. Grant is super welcoming and helpful. The space is roomy and immaculately clean. The kitchen was so well equipped with milks, spreads, juice and bread, gourmet muesli selection and a nespresso machine. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back/recommend to friends.

Hier ist Seele baumeln lassen angesagt. Eine toll eingerichtete (wir lieben die Badezimmer!), sehr saubere und gemütliche Unterkunft direkt am Meer. Alle nötigen Dinge wie Schampoo, Duschgel, Gewürze, Kaminholz sind vorhanden. Das Haus bietet reichlich Platz und ist trotzdem sehr gemütlich. Es gab ein Master-Schlafzimmer mit angeschlossenem Badezimmer, sowie ein Schlafraum mit Etagenbetten für 1-6 Personen/Kinder im Haus. In dem kleinen Kubus / Häuschen im Garten befindet sich dann ein weiteres Master-Schlafzimmer mit TV sowie ein paar Möbel. Im Flur gibt es dann das Master-Badezimmer mit zwei Duschen in einer Kabine (einfach toll). Also perfekt für ein Paar oder 1-2 Paare mit Kinder (max. 6P). Der Blick aufs Meer ist fantastisch, in einer Minute ist man am Strand (nahezu allein). Absolute und 100%ige Weiterempfehlung!! Cheryl tut alles dass es einem gut geht! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

We stayed here with our 3 children and had such an amazing time. They loved just popping over the road to the beach and we made use of the outdoor fire pit for a night of smore making. Generous sized bedrooms and a lovely view from each one. Amazing bird life and even had a visit from the farmers gorgeous dog who waltzed in through the laundry door! The sunrises are amazing and great to watch from the rocking chairs in the main bedroom. Lots of beaches and kid friendly walks to check out in the area, our kids were well entertained for the 3 days we stayed. Can't wait to come back again!

this place is a wee gem!! we wanted to stay longer! beautiful decor and lovely big rooms. amazing beds! so comfortable. would defo be back again!
