Unwind on the porch swing or hammock watching wildlife. Important: Driveway is dirt/gravel with small hill—drive slowly. Winter (Dec–Mar): AWD or 4x4 required. No TV/WiFi for true relaxation. Just 2 miles from Quemahoning Reservoir for fishing, kayaking, trails. Ideal for couples craving quiet reconnection.

Log Cabin

The primary bedroom features a queen-size bed, while the secondary bedroom includes a full-size bed. The living area is equipped with a sleeper sofa for extra sleeping space, and the loft adds two twin mattresses for additional accommodations, ideal for kids. The cabin’s kitchen is equipped with everything you need, including an oven and refrigerator and microwave. Whether you're enjoying time indoors or exploring the outdoors, this cabin offers the perfect balance of comfort and adventure.

Yoder School Guest House with wifi and hot tub

Built originally in the late 1800's and renovated by us in 1991, Yoder School became our home. In later years we converted part of the building into this peaceful getaway. Opportunities for outdoor activities abound. Fantastic road cycling with Strava routes start right here! Just a short drive away great mountain biking, hiking, cross country and downhill skiing, and white water rafting are yours to enjoy. Several unique and popular restaurants, and tennis and basketball courts are nearby.

Our House on the GAP Bike Trail

Our house in Meyersdale is a single-family house just a block from the GAP bike trail on a quiet street and walking distance to the middle of town. The house is ideal for travelers riding the GAP, skiers visiting the slopes nearby, or those looking for some quiet time in the country. Ideal for individuals or small families. (Pls note: Trains come through town and the whistles can be heard during the day or night. There is also a fire whistle to alert volunteers to emergencies.)

Our retreat is centrally located in the sweet little town of Meyersdale! Just minutes off the bike trail, this spacious home offers easy parking, an accessible ramp, and plenty of room for you and your crew to relax and enjoy what Somerset County has to offer. The KLAE House is perfectly situated within sight of the GAP Bike Trail and within walking distance to the Casselman River. Also, centrally located near Ohiopyle State Park, Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Yough Lake, Frank Lloyd Wright homes, and much more. This home has been completely renovated and designed with a unique vintage/modern style. The KLAE House is the perfect getaway for a quiet and peaceful stay surrounded by nature on your own private hillside.

Our cottage is a private and cozy place to get away and relax. The view from the porch or fire ring area is beautiful and very peaceful. Centrally located in the Laurel Highlands close to 3 ski resorts, GAP trail, 4 State Parks, Falling Water, Flight 93 Memorial, wineries & breweries, wedding venues and more! Somerset County has so many adventures waiting for you!

Upstairs on the Avenue

Just two blocks from the Great Allegany Passage rail trail, our apartment is a great stop while bicycling on the trail. Or a wonderful rest spot when visiting the Laurel Highlands. Whether visiting family and friends or one of our area's festivals and fairs such as the Pennsylvania Maple Festival or the Somerset County Fair, our apartment is a great space.
