The long house was a magical place for a family vacation. Kevin and Gudrun were really helpful when needed and provided us lots of space to do our thing too. Would highly recommend for a spot to disconnect and slow down!

Perfect property for groups. This house was wonderful for our family group. We made use of the kayaks and enjoyed family meals on the deck. Everything was as listed. Beautiful location, we'd love to come again

David was very welcoming and the Airbnb well provided with utensils for serving larger number of guests but not only that included games and entertainment. Was even very welcoming with offering to use some fresh vegetables on site, overall the place was beautiful and was a very peaceful stay .

This was our fourth stay at Misty River Lodge and won’t be our last. My family, including our little Jack Russell Terrier, loves Helen and Craig’s place. I especially love seeing how the gardens have evolved. We enjoy visiting the beaches up and down the coast — Scotts Head is a favourite — and we love to find new places to eat. Coffs Harbour is only a 45 minute drive north and South West Rocks is just 30 minutes south, so it’s a really central location and close to the highway but so quiet and peaceful. The bird song is relaxing and if you’re an early riser, you might even see the local swamp wallaby down near the creek. We were treated to fresh quail eggs, deliciously sweet tomatoes and tasty vegetables from the garden. As Helen said when we arrived… “Welcome home!” … because it does feel like a home away from home.

Beautiful location and space! Worked well for our group of 8 people and everything was really clean on arrival. Nice and easy to pop to the lake and close to some lovely beaches :) really good deal too! Would have been good to have had sheets provided and some aircon in the main space as it was very warm the week we stayed, but other than that would highly recommend! Thanks

This is a lovely place to stay, very comfortable, clean, people in the area are very friendly, the area itself is gorgeous. The kangaroos come to visit the front yard often and are very sweet to watch, lots of beautiful birds around too. Great views, quiet, homely, neighbours very helpful and friendly. Everything you need, great set up kitchen. I was there for over a month and had no problems at all, had an amazing stay and would stay again if in the area. Great that it’s dog friendly, nice yard for dogs and safely enclosed. Highlights in the area would be the wildlife, the beaches, walking around Nerong, the bakery at Tea Gardens and Tea Gardens Kombucha, absolutely delicious and if you go in they will give you a little tasting to try the kombucha flavours which is a bit fun. We know this lovely area fairly well and had just cleared out our place nearby prior to settlement of its sale. Steve's place was a lovely place to stay after we had cleared ours out and it just suited our needs. We intend staying again as we will still be visiting close family in the area from time to time and Steve's place ticks all our boxes.

Cliff was very helpful in sending through lots of suggestions of places we could visit during our stay. The accommodation is well maintained and in a very quiet area for a relaxing stay. it is also a reasonably short drive from local beaches and facilities in Forster, the lake is only a short walk down the road, and our dog was comfortable in the fully enclosed back yard. We enjoyed our time staying here.

Well appointed. So many items supplied in kitchen and bathrooms that I have not seen at any other AIRBNB. Easy access. Very clean and well stocked with cleaning items and supplies incase of an accident or spill so you clean up and continue to enjoy your stay. Location close to cafes and restaurants at Lemon Tree Passage. So many recreational items in shed to help you enjoy the coastal location and water ways. Julie took the time to reach out to us when we did not reply to emails as we were travelling and not opening our laptop and lodging in every day about dietary requirements re type of milk to put in fridge. In conclusion well done Julie you are a credit as a super host.

What an experience! Niel is a truly great host – such a great person and always ready to help. The location is absolutely amazing.......... just WOW! We loved our stay and would definitely love to visit again. Highly recommend

Great place, with amazing views. Lisa's place brought our families together and helped create some fantastic memories. Neighbours are very friendly. The water view and ocean breeze was quite relaxing. We even had a friendly neighbour selling some great bananas from their garden. Very private setting where you can go for strolls whilst enjoying the view.

My husband and had the pleasure of spending a week at the cottage to relax and rejuvenate after a very busy month. The location is perfectly serene and peaceful. Our hosts were very responsive and ensured that the cottage was well stocked. Everything we needed was there, and Sam assured us that if we needed anything that she could help us out. The fully fenced yard was thoroughly enjoyed by our labradoodle. She had fun trying to figure out exactly what the fluffy animals with beards and horns were all about (friendly goats). We loved the space that offered a range of views and areas to relax and read in. We also enjoyed the walks and the peaceful sounds of nature, including the soothinfg sound of the rapids from the surrounding creeks (there had just been a lot of rain and plenty of water flowing). I highly recommend anyone who wants to spend time in nature with all the luxuries of a comfy bed, cozy fire pit and a clawfoot tub to take the time to escape to the valley cottage.

Grant was excellent host and we enjoyed staying at his place very much. Encourage people who want to take rest and recharge from busy city life!

We loved Mansfield on Manning. My family stayed for a week and spent a few days mountain biking in the excellent set up in the nearby Kiwarrak state forest, swam in the lovely pool, kayaked, did an easy bike ride in Taree along the river, walked our dog on the beach at Old Bar, had a few lovely meals at the cafes recommended and read a lot on the deck overlooking the property and river. Highly recommend for a great get away.

Great cabin located inside the Eaglereach Wilderness retreat. This particular cabin was nice and private, tucked away from the other houses. It had everything we needed for a comfy stay, and enough games to keep our kids entertained on a VERY rainy day! The facilities in the complex are great too: pool, outdoor gym, playground, small dam (for paddling), tennis court and rec room with pool table and ping pong table. A great holiday spot, all within east reach of Sunday. Sensational views too!

It was a perfect getaway, amidst the nature. The property is so beautiful and well maintained. Louise has kept it top-notch. It has all the amenities that you wouldn’t expect in the middle of the woods. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin & would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a break from the fast city life and want a relaxing off from it.

Wish we had stayed longer! Cute, private cabin on the river (cabins view faces the cow pasture). Well thought out small space, cosy and comfortable. Nick was very kind and helpful and as a solo mum travelling with my son I felt safe and looked after staying here. Coffee machine and fresh eggs were such a treat. We’ll be back!
