Absolutely loved my stay; I’ve been coming to the Lakes for over 20 years and this place is the ultimate cosy retreat, just what you want to come back to after a long day out walking. The property has everything you need and is very dog friendly; I always come armed with blankets and towels but it makes it so much easier not having to worry about carpets and the coat stand came in very handy for drying things. The location is great; I arrived much later than planned in the dark and found it no problem. It feels very peaceful and private but Windermere high street is within walking distance. I will definitely be back again, thank you for a great stay!

Amanda was a lovely host. She was very responsive and helpful when we messaged. The house is deceptively big and there's plenty of room to chill and get ready for busy days. It is very well stocked with plenty of kitchen equipment for if you decide to cook at home. The beds are all doubles and they're very comfy with tonnes of blankets to keep extra cosy if you like! The area is nice with a big beach. We did find that there isn't a great lot to do, so we found ourselves driving quite a lot but if you're a walker, it would be perfect with all the coastal paths. Diamond pizza is a fab place to get a quick bite after a long day so we would definitely recommend there if you're a fan of a mucky tea! If you're wanting to explore the Northumberland coast and find yourself in Bamburgh, we would definitely recommend Creel and Reel seafood trailer for som delicious locally sourced seafood! All in all we have had a wonderful stay with our dogs and found Amanda's place the perfect getaway!

I had a wonderful stay at Sharu's place! The space was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. Sharu was a responsive and thoughtful host, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. The neighborhood was quiet, beautiful and conveniently located near everything I needed. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area and would happily stay here again!

We loved this place, it was perfect for our six year olds, they loved the garden, the spacious rooms and it was a great location to base ourselves while we explored to NE - we will be back xx

I was comfortable and felt safe in Ellen's house. Easy street parking. No outside noise nice and peaceful. Everything you need in an Airbnb. Excellent communication from Ellen she couldn't do enough. I'd book again for sure.

The house was easy to find and as described. On arrival the house was clean and tidy, and the welcome pack most acceptable. The host was very helpful, and easily contacted. The 1 very minor problem we had was sorted very quickly. We would certainly recommend the property and would have no hesitation in using the property again.

Seldom is where we stay one of the highlights of our trip, but this townhouse definitely was. It was absolutely amazing. It was warm and comfortable after coming in from our chilly all day excursions. The beds were comfortable, the house extremely clean and the amenities absolute perfection.

We very happy with the house is good house for big family trip. Easy to parking car and check in. We have very nice trip in there. The owner she very nice she let us check in earlier. High recommend for her. Thank you so much

Gorgeous lodge with lots of things to do in the surrounding area! Mark was a very friendly and proactive host who messaged to make sure everything was ok. Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful lodge!

Denise was extremely helpful and approachable. She took the time to send a few messages to ensure we were clear on check in. Denise welcomed us and showed us to the lodge. The lodge was super clean, well equipped and Denise even supplied the basic condiments, tea, coffee, juice, milk with some welcome biscuits thrown in! The lodge was also dog friendly. The kids loved their bed room and we were all very comfortable. We had a great stay and the lodge more than met our needs. We plan to return.

Lovely stay, shepherds hut was well equipped and had all you needed and was nice and cosy inside… outdoor space was also great and we loved the hot tub and bbq facilities which were provided. Gillan was a great host and showed us around, but privacy was not invaded which we liked. Would definitely recommend a stay here

This property was beautiful, and as described. I would go as far as saying it exceeded our expectations. It felt like a home from home. We visited with our dog and a lovely touch was the dog basket with blankets, towels and treats. It was spotlessly clean and had all the little things that you seem to forget when going away for a few days (salt, pepper, cleaning products). The host was very attentive and sent us so much information beforehand (where to visit, eat, local shops etc.) The property was situated in a quiet area with a little pond opposite us, it was lovely to see the ducks plodding along throughout the day. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants a few days relaxation, sight seeing and peace and quiet to give this property a go!

Absolutely stunning cottage and great pool and jacuzzi! A stunning peaceful location with great local pub and amazing walks and things to do (but you may need to travel a bit like we did to see the fantastic surrounding area) Highly recommended to others and we will be returning. We had a lovely weekend staying at Serendipity to visit the Christmas markets in York. The place has everything we needed and more and Rachael had kindly left the heating on for us so we were super cosy when we arrived in the evening too. Very comfortable bed with great pillows and a great power shower - the all important things! Also a lovely extra touch with some treats for us and the dogs, plus milk, tea and coffee. House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Outstanding cottage, would love to come back soon! The photos don’t do it justice! It’s even better when you’re there. Spotlessly clean, beautiful kitchen/dining room and comfortable bed. The views from the back garden were fab! I can’t recommend this enough, would have happily stayed there longer and will definitely return. It was a lovely gesture that Kate even baked for us!! Absolutely stunningly renovated old Sunday school, very clear instructions helped us find the home first time. The home itself has absolutely everything you need. We had cosy nights in front of the fire, enjoyed cooking whilst watching the lambs play in the field, relaxed in the spa room after a long day of walking. The doggy hamper was a special touch ❤️ My personal favourite was a long soak in the incredible bath tub. There a lots of wonderful walks right on the doorstep. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a perfect relaxing few days.

We've just returned from a short stay at my happy hounds. Our glamping pod Hugo was absolutely perfect for our stay. It had everything we needed and was absolutely spotless considering these are dog friendly. The welcome pack was also a nice touch with all quality items. We have 2 dogs one that is very nervous, he settled in well as it was peaceful and private and having ample space for them to run and play at the pod and the secure dog fields, these are a great facility for anyone traveling with a dog. It's only a short drive to find local amenities and finding my happy hounds was easy with Google maps being accurate. The communication from Harry was excellent with plenty of information and help if needed. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and have already started talking of booking again for the future. Absolutely wonderful place. If you want peace and off grid, this ticks all the boxes. The cottage itself is extremely well equipped and the views are stunning. As a solo female traveller I also felt completely safe. It’s probably not for you if you’re not a confident driver or need to be near amenities, but for me with wonderful walks from the doorstep, it’s just perfect. This was my second visit, there will be a third and even a fourth! Thanks

We really enjoyed our stay , a proper home from home ! Very comfortable and clean , stunning decor, comfy bed and on a lovely quaint quiet street ( even loved the church bells ). Adam was very responsive . Great pubs in walkable distance , Newcastle City centre took ten minutes in a taxi. We ate a nice meal in the Woodmans Arms and beers in the Bay Horse and One eyed Stag , breakfast in the Harry Casper was amazing for the money . Will definitely stay here again if we can .

We had a lovely few days, the cottage is perfect for two, has everything you need and is very comfortable. The location is great as you can go on some good walks straight from the place and there are also nice amenities in Staveley. Would recommend staying here for a peaceful break in the Lakes.
