Ferienunterkünfte mit Feuerstelle in Midlothian

A brilliant place to stay as a small family. It’s not slap bang in Edinburgh but all the better for it: blissfully quiet (you really cannot hear the airport), a genuinely beautiful garden to relax in, but just 5 minutes drive from the free park and ride, which is 20 minutes into central Edinburgh. And made all the better by hosting from Robert, who was super friendly, a genuine pleasure to chat to, but without being at all intrusive. Would firmly recommend.

The East Wing of Islay House was very spacious and comfy. It was clean and tidy and did not lack any amenities. Sandra provided firewood for the fireplace and plenty of local information. The village of Pencaitland is quiet an peaceful with a shop/petrol station within walking distance and lots of short walks. There were lots of longer walks within 12-30 mins, including those in Edinburgh. Even better if: queen or king bed instead of double bed, description and external photos more accurately reflect that the accommodation is part of a larger house, and it is made clear whether or not both sets of gates can be shut to provide a full secured outside space for dogs. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would recommend :).

Hätte ich 10 Sterne, würde ich die komplett vergeben. Was für eine schöne Unterkunft, wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Sehr ordentlich, tolle Betten, einfach makellos. David und Aida sind immer für einen da,haben gute Tipps gegeben für unseren Aufenthalt in Edinburgh. Ich kann es nur empfehlen seinen Urlaub bei David und Aida zu verbringen. Vielen lieben Dank für alles,wir kommen wieder 😊

What a wonderful stay! Well stocked kitchen instruments for cooking at home, comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms with great water pressure and temp! Lovely area - I took a run to the park by the battalion which led to a run to the reservoir! Beautiful, didn’t want to leave!

Fully recommend!! Penny and Kostas are both really nice people who will help you with anything. They waited for us to check in at 2 am which was a very late hour and allowed to leave our luggage the next day to explore the city. Room was clean and very comfortable, also close to the airport and city center by bus.❤️❤️

Hannah's flat was lovely, homely and welcoming. It had everything required for a stay. Ours was just a one night but it would be great for exploring the area too. We would certainly stay again.

Francois’ apt was perfect for us. Private, quiet street and comfortable beds. Very clean and as described. Francois was great at fielding the few questions we had while there. Lots of restaurants nearby; close to castle and stores. Very walkable neighborhood. A beautiful park is the next block over. We couldn’t have asked for more. Perfect!

We had a lovely comfortable stay at Sophie's. Her place was easy to find. All the rooms were well decorated and comfortable for a short stay. The kids room with the bunk beds was a delight. The kitchen had all the necessary items. Overall perfect cosy place for a small family.

Highly recommend. Walkable to old town and new town. Walkable to tram. Walkable to museums, castles, and the royal mile. Parking spot for those with car. Lots of food and pubs walkable. We especially liked Simply Greek. Very clean. Washer and Dryer and dishwasher all worked well. Lots of utensils and dishware. Beds were comfortable with good blinds in the rooms. Location was quiet.Margo was responsive to our questions and was flexible. Would definitely recommend this AirBNB.

Hazel’s place is a cosy homely spot in Portobello, close to all everything. It's a quick 40-minute bus ride to the heart of Edinburgh, which was super convenient. Hazel was always quick to reply and the place was peaceful, perfect for a good night's sleep.

Wonderful and cosy apartment right on the bank of the Tweed river. Terry is a great host, friendly, responsive and willing to help with local recommendations! We have had a great time staying at Terry’s place!

I would definitely recommend robs lodge to anyone who is looking for a relaxing break in Scotland. The lodge was really well equipped, which meant we could even cook Christmas dinner. With Edinburgh an hours drive away and a local village on your doorstep, the location is perfect. we will for sure be returning.

My partner and I stayed here for a weekend and absolutely loved it. Great communication and directions to the property from the hosts. The location was beautiful and very private and the lodge itself was immaculately clean and had every appliance/kitchenware you could need. The hot tub and the fire pit were great additions to the stay. Cant recommend highly enough, we would definitely stay here again!

We were blown away by the beauty of the property & the surrounding landscape. The joy of sitting outside & looking at the stars in peace & quiet was wonderful. I look forward to returning as soon as I can. Many thanks Rob.

My husband and I stayed in this charming little place for the second leg of our honeymoon. The surrounding area was beautiful, we loved the local restaurants and the backyard was like a fairytale. It’s also right next to the Trinity Path which is a gorgeous way to walk into the middle of Edinburgh. Charlie and Melanie were both so sweet to us during our stay. The only thing I’ll say is it’s a little difficult to move around the space while also living out of two suitcases. If you position everything right though, you can manage and it will be your cute little oasis in Leith, Edinburgh. Highly recommend for a truly one of a kind stay.

I loved everything about this place - the term glamping pod doesn't do it justice! Its so pristine and perfect location to Edinburgh for the Fringe too. Elizabeth allowed me to check in a bit earlier too which was super helpful. Not sure where else I'd get all that and wake up to cows grazing on the fields 😀

Fabelhafte, kleine, netzunabhängige Hütte in einer ruhigen Umgebung. Würden wir immer wieder buchen! Dankeschön an die tollen Gastgeber, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wow!! The lodge exceeded all expectations! It was so easy to find and the clear instructions given by host made it the easiest check in. The lodge itself was beautiful inside and out and absolutely spotless. The bed was the comfiest bed I’ve ever stayed in!! The surrounding area is just absolutely beautiful and it’s so peaceful, we will definitely be returning and recommend this place to everyone! Thank you for the best weekend x

Such a beautiful cabin in the most peaceful and idyllic setting! The place was so modern and high spec, I’d stay again and again. The bath was a wonderful addition and we greatly enjoyed watching the lambs whilst in a steaming hot bubble bath with no noise surrounding us at all.
