A fantastic family stay at this wonderful barn conversion. We couldn’t have asked for more. The location is great,just a few miles outside the main town of Galashields (which has everything in it….and some great delivery services) The property was spacious and catered for our needs and our wheelchair user. The hot tub is the icing on the cake,peaceful and tranquil at any time of the day. We would love to return in the future.

Lovely house in a good location. It was easy to walk into the town centre and nearby beaches. The house was well appointed and very comfortable. Kristian was a great host and we really enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this quirky, interesting house. It’s an Aladdin’s cave of books, music and art work. And a very comfortable place to relax after a busy day exploring the beach and Edinburgh. The beds were comfy, the shower powerful, plenty of chairs, access to wifi, an Alexa, hot tub (we were so grateful for this to cool down in on the hottest day of the year!), a projector to watch films and tv shows using iPlayer and Amazon Prime and lots of towels. We were appreciative too of the wine and coffee left for us. The house is 2 minutes from the beach and there are plenty of local shops and cafes around the corner. The next door neighbour is a lovely chap who was happy to answer questions. Our children were delighted to look after their affectionate cats. I would recommend staying in this house. Thank you Thea and family for letting us stay in this family home built with love.

Nicest family ever! We were welcomed with fresh eggs and homemade bread as a gift from the hosts. So sweet and so yummy! We got in really late so it was nice to have coffee and breakfast waiting for us in the morning before we had to go shopping. They personally welcomed us in the next day and showed us how to use everything. Literally going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and making sure we had everything we needed from food recommendations to providing a luggage scale when we were leaving! Best hosts ever! And the location was so picturesque, I could stay there forever! The home was decorated so cute and cozy as well. I highly recommend it to any and everyone!

It was a lovely lodge and the hot tub made my days. So warm and relaxing. It was really quiet and peaceful, surrounded by stunning Scottish scenery. I wish we could have stayed longer. The only one thing I’d say is that when you use the ensuite shower make sure no other person is using water while you shower as the shower cuts in and out and goes from hot to cold. Everything else was great. 👍 😄

The cottage was clean and just like the pictures. The cottage had a lot of cooking utensils which was very useful. The cottage was surrounded by farmland which made it very private which was lovely as all we wanted to do was relax especially in the hot tub. Would recommend to anyone to stay here, we all enjoyed our stay. Thank you

We had a group of 9 including two older couples in their 70’s. This property was easy for them to stay on main floor. The upstairs living room was divine. I only wish the skies complied so we could have used the telescope. The other adults enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. Such perks after a long rainy/foggy day walking in Edinburgh. It is about 35 min from city. We took the bus X5 and 124 which was easy 8£ and gave local views of villages. We also used taxi service (Finlay) recommended who was prompt and friendly with stories. Bedding and linens were clean and comfy. Loved having a diff option for hot tub vs shower towels. Great areas to lounge and relax. We got coffee every am across the street at the Leddie.

Really enjoyed our stay for a family celebration, great open plan kitchen, living, dining and garden lovely for spending time altogether. Flexible bedrooms - able to make one a twin. Clean, well equipped and luxurious feel. Two full bathrooms. Street is quiet, feels safe and parking easy, no shops, cafes, bars etc. within close walking distance. Bus or Uber both easy to get into city centre and was nice to escape the hustle and bustle after a day sightseeing and at the festival. Suspect price was higher due to time of year and compared to other properties we viewed were very happy we chose this one. Rachel was very prompt with communication, instructions, restaurant recommendations and help when required.

Very welcoming upon arrival, showed us where everything is. Good appliances. Comfy atmosphere. Very willing couple, will help you out with what they can! Eg; directions, places to eat/drink. Hot tub nice and clean. Can’t fault the place or the hosts. Genuinely a good night stay. Recommend 100%

To only give this Airbnb a 5 star rating feels very unfair, if I could have given it higher I would have. The property was beautifully presented, had amazing large communal spaces, with a very high standard of furniture, furnishings, and cleanliness. Our room was spacious and luxurious. The beds were great quality, and it was full of nice extra touches. The hosts were extremely generous, gracious, and friendly. A fantastic experience for us that will be hard for anyone else to top. We will definitely try to book this accommodation in the future when we are in the area. I have been fortunate enough to have many great experiences using Airbnb, but this was easily the Best.

Had a lovely stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout. The hot tub was a perfect touch.

My partner and I stayed here for a weekend and absolutely loved it. Great communication and directions to the property from the hosts. The location was beautiful and very private and the lodge itself was immaculately clean and had every appliance/kitchenware you could need. The hot tub and the fire pit were great additions to the stay. Cant recommend highly enough, we would definitely stay here again!

We had a beautiful holiday here and Rosie and Jim were more than accomodating. The lodge was stunning, comfortable and the views/animals are truly stunning. Rosie is an amazing host who greets you with as much information as you wish when you arive then leaves you alone to your own devices unless you need to contact her. Which is perfect if you are looking to keep private as the lodge itself feels very private. Finally the surrounding areas are just a short drive away and I highly recommended Coulter Fell if you are up for a hike! Thank you Rosie for being an incredible host and for allowing us to stay at your beautiful lodge. It made this week truly magical for me and my family.

We were blown away by the beauty of the property & the surrounding landscape. The joy of sitting outside & looking at the stars in peace & quiet was wonderful. I look forward to returning as soon as I can. Many thanks Rob.

Gorgeous place to stay, we had such a lovely week with our little one and the dog who loved running round the enclosed area around the railway carriage and looking out at the stunning views. Very sad to have to leave!

In 1 woord geweldig!!! Nadat we de spullen hadden uitgeladen kwamen ze ons nog even welkom heten. Het huis had echt alles wat je nodig had en meer dan dat. De jacuzzi werd 2 keer per dag gecontroleerd. Het huisje staat echt op een perfecte plek rust ruimte en uitzicht. Ben zelf heel lang opzoek geweest naar een perfect huisje en iedere keer kwam dit huisje terug! Ik kan iedereen aanraden om hier te boeken je krijgt echt waar voor je geld! Super bedankt dat we gebruik mochten maken van jullie huisje.
