Our modern, architecturally designed detached studio is the perfect accommodation for couples or individuals looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Situated on a hectare block with a relaxing rural outlook our house is walking distance (1500m) to Wainui Beach and a short (5 min) drive to Gisborne city. The perfect location! Our studio mixes a luxurious but informal bach aesthetic it’s the ideal place to unwind, relax and enjoy Gisborne. BBQ and surfboard available on request.

Gisborne's famous Stock Route /Cooper St surf break just a few steps away. Morning coffee in our local cafe with a local beer brewery in walking distance too. Our home offers an ideal holiday spot to unwind and relax with all the amenities you would need on your holiday. Walk beautiful Wainui beach, cosy up by the fire it's heaven!

Rural Cottage Retreat

We offer an entire self-contained unit with ample secure parking. The room is cozy and clean. You have your own private deck overlooking a rural setting. It's a 2 min drive to and from town (including a short stretch of gravel road), an hours drive to Lake Waikaremoana or 40 minutes to Mahia Beach for sun, surf and sand. Perfect spot if you're coming to town overnight for business or staying longer to enjoy the local environs, such as the mountain bike park, Morere Hot Springs.

Escape to the beach.

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. No cell reception but all you'll need to relax. 5mins stroll to a great surfing and swimming beach. Plenty of space for tents, campervans and caravans. There is a bathroom with a toilet, vanity and hot shower. Please bring your own linen. If this is not possible let us know and we can sort some out. Pets are allowed, please specify when booking. The section is not fully fenced and any pets are not allowed on the furniture.

That persimmon place

Here in the far east are the first in the world to see the light of day. Known for our laid-back surf culture, superior Chardonnay and aromatic wines, fertile soils and abundance of local produce. This modern retreat offers the perfect balance of rural peace and coastal convenience, with stunning views of the surrounding hills and our very own persimmon orchard. A 7min (6.3km) drive to town beaches, a 6min (4.4km) drive to town and a 10min (6.3km) drive to the air port.

Charming Morere Lodge Cottage

Our 2 bedroom 1920s cottage has great rural views, is a short walk to the Mōrere Hot Springs and a short drive to the closest beach, family-friendly activities, Mangaone caves and 15 minutes from the beautiful Mahia Peninsula . You’ll love our place because of the cosiness, the comfy beds, the views, the 1920's charm and character plus the 30 acres of pastures, woodland and stream to explore. The cottage is good for couples, and families (with kids).

Sanctuary Lodge - Cabin 1

Get away from it all and re-energise yourselves. Mahia offers safe swimming, fishing and walks. The cabin is located in private bush setting, overlooking Mahia Peninsula and two bays. Cabin 1 can sleep a couple in a queen bed and one child under 7. It has recently been renovated, we are aiming for a comfortable, relaxing, and cosy feeling. We do offer reduced rates for more than one night's stay, please ask for prices.

Classic kiwi beach front bach in Mahanga

Class kiwi bach situated right across the road from one of east coast's best surfing breaks. An awesome place to chill on the deck or couch and watch the surfers, or to get out there yourself. This fully fenced bach has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is ideal for families. Across the road the 8km golden sand beach has a rocky area with a stream running through it, great for crab hunting, shell collecting and dam building.

Wainui Beach Studio, Gisborne
