Great stay! The hosts were super friendly and check-in was easy even time was 4am. They went above and beyond by recommending some amazing local stores and pubs, which made my trip even better. Highly recommend!

excellent peaceful place for family stay. We all had a fabulous time. All the things were there as described. No disturbances at all. Mark is a great host, responsive, friendly and helpful. I will highly recommend this place.

Melissa is a very friendly host. The house is very comfortable, cosy, warmly and peaceful. Near of all essential services and numerous activities. our stay has been perfect... we regret already to leave this place. if we have the possibility to come again, this home will be a perfect step.

Die Unterkunft war wunderschön - wie auf den Bildern zu sehen! Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, aber dennoch nah an Edinburgh - wunderbar, um von dort aus in die Stadt oder mit dem Mietwagen in die Natur zu fahren. Unser Gastgeber war immer sehr gut zu erreichen und sehr freundlich. Ein Nachteil war (für uns) die Auffahrt: Durch den Schotteruntergrund sind die Reifen bei der Einfahrt durchgedreht und bei der Ausfahrt ist der Wagen trotz Bremsen weiter hinab getuscht. Das war etwas nervenaufreibend. Insgesamt würden wir diese Unterkunft aber in jedem Fall empfehlen!

es war wirklich ein schöner Aufenthalt. wir waren zu dritt un Mary war superlieb und nett. Die Unterkunft war gemütlich und in den Betten konnte man super schlafen. Auch im Wohnzimmer war es sehr gemütlich, man kann dort gut abends zusammen sitzen und lesen oder einfach reden. Es war alles sauber und die Umgebung war wunderschön. Man konnte sofort loswandern. Auch ist eine Busanbindung nach Edinburgh vorhanden, wobei man ein bisschen laufen muss bis zur Bushaltestelle. Mit Auto waren es 30

Nous avons passés deux jours chez Jamie et nous sommes très satisfaits. Ma fille de 6 ans était très contente de trouver des jouets dans la chambre d’enfants. Il y a un bus à proximité de la maison pour visiter Edimbourg. La maison est super et il y a tout ce qu’il faut. Très propre et sympa ! Merci Jamie

A lovely little cottage to enjoy the beautiful North Queensferry. The house is beautifully presented and really feels homely and welcoming. The bedrooms are great sizes and the bathroom was spotless. Will definitely be staying here again!

Our family had an amazing stay at the coal house,kid friendly with toys they can play with, very clean and had all the stuff we needed Carla and Alan were great host and fast to answer any questions we had. Would recommend for anyone that has kids Thank you again

I am sure the goid folk at the Scottish Historical Buildings Assoc would want me to extol every virtue the place has and why it is so amazing. But if I do that, it will be impossible for me to book it again. What to do? I cannot in all honesty say anything bad. So I won't! But one word of advice: keep the entry fob away from your phone, otherwise it corrupts! And please don't book it during next year's Burns weekend!

Our stay at Alison’s was absolutely fantastic, the location was incredibly central and there really wasn’t much noise considering where we were! The apartment was absolutely massive I don’t even feel like the pictures did it justice, we had so much space! Everything was spotless and the apartment had wee extras that we weren’t expecting such as shampoo/conditioner and shower gel! Couldn’t recommend it enough.

Great place to stay with friends for a short break in Edinburgh. The initial look of the property was not what we expected - front door didn’t look very secure although it actually was. A resident parks their pram behind the front door so trying to gain access with suitcases was a bit difficult but we managed in the end. The communal stairwell could do with some upkeep but when you get to the top floor and open the door to the apartment, it was worth it even though there was a strong damp smell. The plumbing is a bit to be desired. The shower and sink in the larger bathroom do not drain and flooded several times. Shower pressure was not good either but didn’t expect much from an electric shower. The kitchen sink also had severe drainage issues. Could be why there was that damp smell. Lots of dust on the radiators and under the sideboard that was noticeable when sat on the sofa. A bit more matching crockery wouldn’t go amiss but all that said - we would stay again.

Spectacular location, makes Edinburgh completely walkable. Very clean and well easy!

Die Unterkunft von Jay war sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Es gibt gute Restaurants in der Nähe, man erreicht das Zentrum zu Fuss und ganz in der Nähe befindet sich der Arthur’s Seat. Der Aufstieg ist sehr zu empfehlen, man wird mit wunderbarer Aussicht auf die Stadt und die Gegend belohnt! Jay war sehr zuvorkommend, hat immer sofort geantwortet. Unser Aufenthalt war perfekt.

Wonderful stay in a cozy one bedroom in a fabulous part of town, where you can walk everywhere. Thank you Susie and Amit! We hope to be back again!

Stuart’s place is amazing, really light and airy. It’s on the top floor of an old tenement, four floors up. The location is perfect about 10 minutes walk from Waverley Station or St Andrews tram stop. We had a great lunch at Rocksalt Cafe over the road, well prepared and flavoured sandwiches. I’d recommend this to anyone to manage the 4 flights of stairs.

Anna è stata gentilissima, sempre disponibile. Siamo arrivati prima del check in e ci ha permesso di lasciare i bagagli intanto che finivano le pulizie. La casa è pulita e rispecchia la descrizione. La zona è tranquilla, vicino al bellissimo parco the Meadows che ci siamo goduti viste le splendide giornate che abbiamo trovato a Edinburgo. Ci si muove a piedi tranquillamente (20 minuti) per raggiungere Victoria Street, Royal Mile, ecc. Per l’arrivo dall’aeroporto a piedi ci vogliono 20/25 minuti con fermata West End. Consiglio caldamente questo alloggio per visitare questa splendida città.

Entering this well appointed, beautiful home, there is a feeling of warmth and relaxation. The skylights bring in the natural light to the bathrooms. The Kitchen is modern and sleek, with everything you need to make a first class meal. The visually stunning, spacious backyard has a wonderful garden. There is a park just behind the house. My daily jog would lead me down to the beach. Here i would do a quick cold plunge- rejuvenating my body. The area is surrounded by a world renowned collection of golf clubs. The Longniddry golf club is a short walk and is a fun track. Thank you for being great hosts.

This house was exactly as advertised. Spacious and beautiful. Perfect for two families. Check in was easy and Jacki was very responsive.
