The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. Constructed from two old tobacco barns (with fireplace), this property provides a unique experience-connecting the past & present. The cabin is surrounded by nature’s beauty and Big Reed Island river flows only feet from the front porch. Set on 32 acres, the cabin has a large porch with rocking chairs perfect to enjoy views of the river & mountains. New addition includes an outdoor shower! Yurt dwelling is indescribably peaceful. Our property is 150 acres, off an end-state maintenance road, though just a 20 minute drive off interstate 81 or to the quaint town of Floyd, or the VT area. This 24' yurt is beautifully modern with a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom/ shower, TV and (high speed) wi-fi, and comfortable sleeping and hangout spaces- surrounded by acres of streams, trails and natural beauty. Our tiny house is beautifully appointed with everything you need to live (and work!) in luxury two miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and two miles from downtown Floyd, VA. Sleep soundly on the queen sized mattress topped with 4" memory foam. Cook your gourmet meals in the fully equipped kitchen—(we provide welcome mini loaf, organic coffee, half and half, sugar, rolled oats, olive oil, salt, pepper, and cinnamon.) Enjoy a secluded stay in our one of a kind, luxurious log cabin treehouse. The treehouse offers 2 bedrooms, the master bedroom on the main floor with a rock shower and the loft bedroom with a half bath. The treehouse has a full wrap around porch with jacuzzi tub overlooking a spring branch and fire pit. Enjoy the outdoor shower with a 16” rainfall shower head under the treehouse next to the spring branch. Our gravel road welcomes you to a cozy home in the trees.

Hokie Homestead Highly accessible to VT and I-81

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful country cabin situated on our six-and-a-half acre partial homestead on a quiet lane. Meet our mini donkeys Hokie and Pokie, mini pigs, and other animal friends. Enjoy fresh eggs from our chickens and seasonal vegetables as available! This getaway is a perfect home base for Virginia Tech games and events, nearby vineyards, breweries, the Appalachian Trail, and the New River. Mountain and horse-ranch views.

The Glo Haus @Four Fillies Lodge

Reminiscent of an illuminated floating lantern, our Glo Haus offers elevated glamping among the trees. Our Glo Pod consists of three pods: two sleeping pods and one gathering pod. The two sleeping pods comfortably sleep up to two people in Twin XL to King conversion beds. We have included unique features such as a slide exit for kids, a swing, and Aurora Night Sky projectors for a special light show. This will be a truly unique experience!

The Cabin is a luxurious rural escape, with a 3-person hot tub. Located on a permaculture homestead and native plant sanctuary, the space overlooks the garden and is surrounded by forest. Natural/local materials were used throughout (built in 2023).
