This was an AMAZING SPACE!!. Great floorplan, great amenities, and it will be a perfect space for your family. It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed and more.. The beds, pillows, and linens were very comfortable, and the kitchen had PLENTY of tableware and utensils for the family. My family and I will certainly return.

Janine was very responsive and accommodating. Would stay here again.

Charlene is a wonderful and very responsive host. This was our second time staying there when we visit Williamsburg. The location is great and only a few minutes from everything. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our week. We look forward to staying again in the future.

The house is very comfortable and spacious with a nice kitchen and big bathroom. The living room and bedrooms are big. The beds are very comfortable and the backyard was a nice addition. The house is located within 10 minutes driving on local roads to many of the attractions that Norfolk has to offer and also within a 10 minutes drive to amazing restaurants. Adam is a great host and we would stay at this house again!

Fantastic place! Very close to Colonial Williamsburg. Place is a bit secluded which is great after a full day of sightseeing. Nice to come back to a little oasis. Very clean, well stocked. Host very responsive, pleasant and flexible. Recommend it highly!

This house and property is really special. It is a beautifully maintained and renovated old house, and has great views of the woods and the creek. We enjoyed evenings on the beautiful porch taking in the views. The house itself was well appointed and clean, with minimal/essential furnishings. A few other reviews did mention the noise from the highway and it is true—though it did not disturb us except for in the night, when an occasional loud truck might pass. It was a great base for my family and two small dogs to explore the local sights. Would definitely consider staying here again.

We were very pleased with the house. Just be careful w little ones, all vent covers were not secured to the floor properly and that could be safety hazard. One disappointment we had -although the beach was very close (5 minutes walk) there were runoff pipes all along the beach. Public beach a 5 minute drive. We ended up driving to Virginia Beach and had much better time there, 40 minute drive.

The Laughing King (and the Honeymoon Island Cottage in particular) were fantastic! A wonderful quick getaway from DC for couples. The property is gorgeous - a farm with a historic old house that is the main lodge, surrounded by hundred-year-old oak trees, a standalone cottage (that we stayed in for 3 nights), open fields, a saltwater pool, and private beach with dock and a boat and SUPs for guest use. MJ serves up gourmet breakfasts (eggs Benedict, avocado toast, French toast, quiche, etc. over the course of our stay) + coffee in the morning and also dished out recommendations on local spots to visit. 100% will be back!

The 'placePerfect Getaway' certainly lives up to and exceeds expectations. All aspects of this modern home are welcoming, safe, secure, and relaxing. From it's beautiful landscaping, in-ground pool, spa style masterbath suite, and high end appliances, the homes comforts are almost endless. Checking in and out is simple and pleasantly accommodating. Our sincere appreciation goes out to our gracious host. The care and attention to detail demonstrated create a genuine 'welcome to our home' ambiance. We will look forward to future stays in this 'placePerfect Getaway' and thank you again for a simply wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Great Escape. The home was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The amenities were perfect and the beach is just a short walk with easy access. This is a wonderful beach home within walking distance of the oceanfront. Our extended family enjoyed a fantastic visit. The house is set up perfectly for multiple families with a large gathering space on the top floor next to the kitchen. There are several decks throughout the home to catch the sea breeze and air. Beverly was a great host and responsive to our needs.

I had a fantastic stay in Williamsburg! The room was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and had all the comforts of home. The hosts were incredibly communicative and helpful, making the entire experience seamless. Their attention to detail and hospitality really stood out. I would absolutely love to return for another visit. Highly recommend!

This home was very clean, well appointed and comfortable. The bedrooms were spacious with comfy beds. Backyard was a nice treat! Close & convenient to oceanfront restaurants. Neighbors are very nice.

Great house to stay. Very clean. Golf cart is a must. Don't have to walk anywhere. We will stay here again or maybe his other house on the island. 😁

Matt's home is beautiful, comfortable and very clean. There was a lot of attention paid to our needs such as laundry detergent, garbage bags, etc. The house was well supplied with the necessities to cook, plenty of towels for both bath and beach, and working appliances....we felt very much at home. We were visiting our daughter who goes to a college nearby, and she took advantage of staying with us and commented on how comfortable the bed was. We look forward to staying at Matt's home again.

We had a great time, the house was very clean and Anne was an excellent host. She was very detailed and responded right away.

We came here for a quick few nights and it was absolutely perfect. Susan was a great host. It was in a great location and there was lots in walking distance to do! We had a great time and would definitely come back and stay here again.

The place was fantastic, clean, and exactly as described. Being on the main road out of VA beach, the streets can get a bit noisy on occasion.

5 stars. I will be staying here again when we come back to Virginia Beach!
