Photographers House Staithes

A sunlit home in a village of artists and fishermen on the edge of the North York Moors. Once the studio of a Victorian photographer and later home to “Dolphin Man” Dr Horace Dobbs, a pioneer in underwater photography. With a garden, terrace and spacious lounge, it’s perfect for relaxing, exploring, or simply being inspired. The famous Staithes Art Festival it's taking place this year between the 13th and 14th of September. Unusually we have availability at the moment. Book soon!

Relax and unwind in the newly refurbished one bed Irishman's Cottage. The cottage retains many old features and is surrounded by the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds. The living space is open plan with ample space for a couples retreat or family break away. In the summer months dine al fresco and enjoy a BBQ on the private patio besides the wood burning hot tub. A short walk away is our private lake, where you might catch site of a resting deer or hare!

With stunning sea views from the cottage, a short 2 minute walk to the sandy beach and a popular local pub serving quality food & drink all day. This hidden gem brings you every little bit of paradise and is the perfect place to create happy memories with family and friends.

Cosy cottage located in the North York Moors National Park with gorgeous big skies! A super base for exploring castles, abbeys, villages and the Heritage coast. Spoilt for choice in eateries from great local pubs to Michelin starred restaurants all with a 10 mile radius. Many guests comment on how peaceful and calm their stay has been. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families with children and pets (one, well behaved dog only).

Coach House Cottage a perfect seaside retreat

Coach House Cottage is an old Fishermans cottage above what used to be a stables and coach store (Now a dinosaur and fossil museum). Well situated, above the main street, in the lower part of Robin Hoods Bay it is moments from the beach, the dock, and the hustle and bustle of village life. The cottage is approached along cobbled alleys and/or up a series of stone steps. It is set in its own private back alley.
