Perfect Retreat in Devonport! My stay at this beautiful cottage in Devonport was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in a peaceful, secluded location yet just a short distance from town, it offered the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. The outdoor area was a true highlight—an inviting space to relax, unwind, and soak in the serene surroundings. Whether enjoying a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine, the setting was simply idyllic. Inside, the cottage was warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully equipped. The kitchen was outstanding—spacious, modern, and stocked with all the appliances and essentials needed for a comfortable stay. It made cooking an absolute pleasure. From the cozy furnishings to the attention to detail, everything about this stay was designed for comfort. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with easy access to Devonport’s charm, this is the perfect place. Highly recommend

Our stay was wonderful! The flat was everything that we needed for a weekend or in Auckland. The bed was comfortable and provided a good night’s sleep. The view from the patio was both City and a slice of the harbor which we loved. It was a particularly warm and muggy first day in the flat, but the air conditioner worked perfectly. We had been worried that it was going to be difficult to get the keys from the shop next-door because we didn’t know what we could do with our car while retrieving the flat and parking garage keys (because I’m disabled). This wasn’t a problem as there is a loading zone right in front of the building and the shop where we got our keys. We also rented a parking space from Betty (about a block from the building). It’s a very short walk to get back to the apartment building, so unless you have disability issues like me and my partner, this is very easy to use. We had a little bit of trouble with the walk back with our luggage because of our unique situation.

This place is right in the middle of the town centre so we didn't feel the need to bring a car over. Everything was at the door step. The place was very clean and comfortable, we felt right at home. We enjoyed watching the sunrise in the morning and hearing the waves crashing against the rocks. The host is responsive and provided us with all the information we needed before our stay. Would love to stay again :)

A beautiful well appointed apartment. Comfy bed with beautiful linen. Perfect location 1 minute from the most beautiful beach. Would come back in a heartbeat!

This was a really good place to stay to visit Auckland for a few days. The street is VERY steep and may not suit all people's walking and driving abilities. Otherwise, it's super easy to walk to town, to gardens and to great nearby restaurants on Karangahape Road. The apartment is small but we'll suited to three people, mainly if you're eating out (although there is a small kitchenette). A great option for the price.

The place was nice and clean, had everything I needed for my stay. The host was very responsive when needed and check in instructions were very clear. I would absolutely stay here again :)

We had a lovely Easter break at Pauline’s Airbnb. Loved the location - quick to walk to local beaches & the village. Easy public transport to visit other spots on the island and to get to/ from the ferry. We appreciated the chocolate, breakfast cereals, and fresh OJ! Lovely outdoor area too.

Lovely place. Separate entrance. The room has all you needed. High quality mattress. Highly recommended.

Had a great stay. We appreciated the thoughtful extras of a selection of coffee and milk in the fridge. The location is great, as St Helier’s is a lovely area of Auckland and has some great shops. We felt refreshed after our stay

Spacious, Spotless, and Thoughtfully Designed Stay ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We absolutely enjoyed our time at this well-thought-out apartment, located on the ground floor of the main house. The space was squeaky clean—inside and out—and beautifully maintained, which made us feel instantly at home. We were greeted with thoughtful touches like treats, coffee, and tea, and truly appreciated the early check-in offered due to our early arrival. The apartment itself is spacious, light, and airy, perfect for relaxing after a day out. There’s a lovely backyard with a table to sit and unwind, although we didn’t get a chance to use it during our stay. While there's no parking on the property, we easily found street parking right outside the gate. There are also a few restaurants within walking distance, which was a bonus. Overall, a wonderful and welcoming stay—would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and convenient base!

Located close to beaches, forests, and wineries this is an ideal accommodation with very congenial hosts. The unit is immaculately clean and fresh looking and makes the most of a small space for breakfast prep. Honestly, she’s thought of almost everything you could need. Lauren provided info on nearby hiking and stores and restaurants when I had specific interests. We even shared a walk with her dog Molly one morning to nearby beaches I had yet to visit. There are lots of hills around, even the driveway is quite steep, so best to have a car if you’re not reasonably fit and don’t enjoy that type of exercise. Coming home at night, it’s quite dark near the house, but she provides a flashlight or you could use your mobile flashlight.. Overall, a wonderful stay, lots of fresh air, exercise, beautiful nature, peaceful environment in a very comfortable apartment. Thank you Lauren. I would definitely recommend and look forward to staying again..

Comfortable large space, clean and thoughtfully laid out. Snacks and wine to greet us was an unexpected surprise. Trish is an excellent communicator. The apartment is well located with walking access to the village, ferry terminal, supermarket and loads of shops.

Comfy with many thoughtful little things that make a stay so much easier like a beach towel, plenty of coffee, washing powder etc. Friendly helpful hosts. Can't beat the location so close to a fab swimming beach!

Well appointed apartment with central London vibe. Comfortable beds and great location, close to the Viaduct restaurants. We enjoyed the tennis court and rooftop pool. Superb communication and advice. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Iain’s place was the perfect base camp for a first time visit to Auckland! The location was extremely walkable with Sky Tower being a couple of blocks away and only a 10 minute walk to the ferries/harbor. The apartment itself was clean from top to bottom. The high ceilings and natural light made the space feel open and comfortable. The washer + dryer were super convenient to keep things clean after day tours or beach time. Although I didn’t use the kitchen extensively, it had everything you would need for self sufficient meal prep. There are so many incredible restaurants within walking distance so you can’t go wrong. Small note - if you are visiting during a NZ holiday be aware that the place you pick your access card up from could be closed depending on when your flight lands. I made it there about 15 minutes before they planned on closing (would check with host on this prior to arrival). I highly recommend this place and would stay again on a return trip to Auckland. What an awesome property. So fresh and new feeling. Larger than the pictures show. Very quiet, beautiful view of the bay. Large patio, awesome hot tub. Great location, walkable, close bus stop with amazing service. Kay was a fantastic host, always available and very helpful.

Great location with a lovely view! The space was small but cozy—perfect for a comfortable stay. It was especially convenient having a washer and dryer on-site. Just a short walk to the bus stop, which made getting around super easy. Nickie was very responsive and ready to help.
