We were in town for a wedding, the house was very nice and clean. Our only issue was we wish there was at least 1 more TV somewhere in the house. There is only 1 provided down in the basement and we had to use that room as a bedroom so no one else was able to watch tv. Other than that we enjoyed everything!

My family (husband, two kids ages 4 and 6 and our dog) and I greatly enjoyed our three night stay at Alex’s beautiful home. The photos were extremely accurate and we loved the eclectic and creative decorations. There were so many interesting pieces of art and trinkets to look at. The two bedrooms were spacious and had extremely comfortable beds. Everything was spotless and obviously well kept. The kitchen had every appliance we needed to be able to have all of our meals at the house if we wanted. The area was peaceful and in close proximity to the historical lower town of Harper’s Ferry. Even closer was the Bolivar Bread Bakery - a MUST visit. They had the best bread and baked goods I’ve ever tasted. We went every morning and even stocked up on our way home. Overall, I would recommend Alex’s home for a comfortable getaway to West Virginia.

We loved the open space concept in the house. It has beautiful views and a fire pit. Beds were clean and comfortable. Very well supplied kitchen. We will come back. Thanks,

Great place for a larger group!

We enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Corner! The area was beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. Having the fenced in backyard was a huge bonus with our dog and son. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely come back and stay here again!

Hutch’s Bluff is a wonderful place to stay and the hosts make sure you have everything you need so you can relax. This was our second visit and we look forward to coming back. The views are amazing and the surroundings are so peaceful. I can’t recommend Hutch’s Bluff enough if you are looking for a quiet place to get away from the daily grind.

I had a very nice stay here for about 10 days while visiting Baltimore for work. It’s an easy-to-locate basement apartment below their home, in a residential neighborhood that felt overall safe, especially for some of the surrounding areas, and it has a designated parking spot on a cul de sac. The apartment is exactly as described and pictured, very comfortable with a nice bed with fresh linens, good pillows, and a very nice updated bathroom and shower. Tamra was very responsive and took care of a small detail that was missing immediately. Overall it was an convenient, cozy and comfortable stay!

This place was excellent a great find. Diane was pleasant she greeted us with a smile and knew me by name. We arrived early and wasn’t a problem. To add to everything she left us some fresh eggs in the refrigerator. One of the cleanest places I ever stay in. Thank you Diane continue to the person God designed you to be and I will definitely be back.

The space was beautiful, modern charm, clean, and accommodating. Everything inside the house was easy to find and had everything we needed for a quick DC trip with our 4 kids (including a pizza cutter!). The host even helped us with parking, while we took the metro into DC. Closest station was less than 1 block away. Would absolutely stay again!

Jennifer’s place was amazing! A fully private guest house with tons of space and well stocked. Beautiful location and we were excited to use the hot tub. Would definitely stay again when visiting Shenandoah.

I had a great time staying at Hudsons place. It is in the perfect area, and close to many restaurants/cafes. Hudson was very responsive during my stay, which I really appreciated. I definitely recommend staying here if you are ever visiting DC!

Staying with Mr Jane was a pleasure. The location was perfect, the apartment was cozy and spotless. The place was well-equipped and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. This is a peaceful downstairs apartment with private entry and beautiful backyard with swimming pool. Mrs Jane was always available to answer our questions. unforgettable experience! Highly recommended!" 

The apartment is so beautifully decorated and very spacious, and we loved being able to walk to different restaurants and shops nearby. Bryson communicated quickly and was very helpful, we highly recommend staying here!

Anju and Steve were excellent hosts. Their place a home away from home. They accommodated all our needs and were so gracious about it. The place, a studio basement apartment, is very well done. The shower was nice and spacious unlike other studios I have rented in the past. the kitchen and living area are perfect size and well kept. The bed very comfortable. The windows are well placed so you don't feel like you are in a basement. The walkout/walk-in concept gives you proper privacy. And we never ever heard footsteps thanks to the extra padding they (seemed to have ) put to soundproof the ceiling as well as the windows. Thanks Anju and Steve for a great stay. we would love to return the next time we are in DC.

My family loved staying here! From the footbridge across the creek, to the goats, to the quiet surrounds: everything was perfect. Mark was extremely responsive when I had questions. We look forward to staying here again!

The cabin was great and it was so nice to have everything you need already there. The essentials were provided: hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, aluminum foil, cling wrap, olive oil, tea and coffee. There was even a large britta pot to filter the water. I would definitely stay there again.

We loved our stay at Kayla’s place, and will definitely be coming back! The house is modern, clean and warm. We enjoyed the space as well as the hot tub outside. From the first touch point, Kayla was incredibly warm, friendly and accommodating. As a couple coming in from the DC area, the location in Front Royal is conveniently only a 1.5 hr drive, with beautiful surroundings. And if you’re coming from that area, you can stop at the Kunafa Truck about half-way through in Vienna for a delicious sweet treat!

Such a peaceful location. We had a wonderful stay. The place was clean. We didn’t have any issues with check in or check out. The hot tub was great to relax at night. The space Is a good size for 2 couples looking to get away. The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans for cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It’s only a short drive into town which has shops, restaurants, and the springs. Make sure to visit Charlottes Cafe. Best breakfast i’ve had in a long time. My son and family can’t wait to go back. When we pulled out the drive way to take the trip back home my son said he missed the house already.

Darlene and Tim are wonderful hosts. They take pride in their property and in making sure you have a great stay at Happy Bottom. We always feel refreshed and right at home. The cabin is perfect for working remotely, using as base camp for fishing and hiking in the area and relaxing by the river in the well appointed river bar. My pup had a blast getting to play in the river and exploring the property. We can’t wait to return to Happy Bottom. Thank you, Tim and Darlene!

We had a wonderful stay - beautiful cabin, amazing surroundings and great hosts who were very responsive and easy to communicate with. We felt right a home. The cabin is extremely well organized and welcoming. We will be back!

So many things to do in the area: Luray Cabins, Shenandoah National Park/Skyline drive. Wish we had more time. Waterfall hike was right by the cabin and perfect for young children. It’s the perfect location to watch the sunset.

I would give it a 4.5 stars out of 5, but went with 5. We now will forever have an amazing memory that this stay provided for us. The hot tub was amazing, the views were amazing, the house was clean and the charcoal grill was nice. I wouldn’t recommend however coming with a small car due to the gravel road leading up, i’m sure it’s nice when it’s not raining but after rain can make it a little rough which is okay if you take it very slow! we brought an SUV so it was fine! Was well worth the haul. It is in the woods/mountains so expect bugs to get in, it’s normal. Some wasps were managing to get in, did my duty of killing them but not sure where they were coming from. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay though!
