Cedric's house is a jewel in Oudtshoorn. Very nice yard for kids, close to main attractions and restaurants. Hosts were very nice and we considered this stay very good price for value offered. Thanks for hosting us!

The house is huge. iIt looks tiny from the front side but everything is very large. 4 large bedrooms , 3 with big bathroom. very large kitchen, living room, entrence etc. Communucation with Jan theco-host was very easy and fast. He and his family live just next door. He gave us great insider information. We were welcomed with fresh bread. Definitely higly recommrndable place. Thanks a lot

Great host, really peaceful spot, beautiful little town with outstanding restaurants.We enjoyed the lovely thick grass and shade after a very hot day.The house has everything you might need and lots of plugs and adaptors.Fan and aircon a bonus!Everything spotless and very clean.Would love to stay there again.

I booked the accommodation for a couple of weeks in a row for my colleagues who needed to do a project in areas in and around Prince Albert. Every week the guys ask me to book with Elize again. They really enjoyed their stay there, especially the roof terrace. They had everything that they needed to make their stay super comfortable. Elize is also a lovely, friendly person and it was a pleasure to engage with her. I'll defiantly book with Elize again when my colleagues are headed that way again!

A great location with peaceful views onto the farm and comfortable sitting and eating out spaces. An eclectic and interesting collection of implements and objects bring character and interest to the home. All very well appointed. Good books available and lovely spaces to read them… we would have loved to have stayed for longer… it is ideally situated for restaurants and places of interest in Prince Albert.

Thank you Jennifer and Johan we appreciated you being kind and generous during a difficult time with our dogs. You were both fantastic hosts. The cottage was the perfect stay over stay for us. The second room is in the open plan space separated by a screen but as we were a couple it didn’t bother us. There is a wonderful dirt road nearby where we could run with the dogs early morning.

Perfect accomodation for a family of 4.

We had a lovely time! Not too far out of town, but with a special view of the Swartberg mountains and wonderful Karoo quiet and tranquility. Spacious, well equiped, ideal for us as a large family group. Emma is a great host too.

The property is beautifully restored and stylishly decorated, offering a perfect blend of charm and comfort. The swimming pool and air conditioning in both rooms were exceptional, providing much-needed relief from the Karoo heat. The lush green grass and inviting braai area added to the overall appeal. The kitchen, though basic, was well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location is ideal, within walking distance of the hotel and nearby restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning. The adorable dogs were a delightful bonus!

We stayed just one night at Ashlea’s place in Oudtshoorn and truly wished we could’ve stayed longer. It was easy to find, with smooth check-in and check-out. The swimming pool was a lovely bonus, especially after a warm Karoo day. Best of all — they’re dog-friendly, which made our stay even more special. A great stopover — we’ll definitely be back if we’re in the area again!

Good place to stay! We do recommend tomake a stop for couple of nights. I only wish the rooms would still have the deco they have on the pictures.

This house is a work of the finest art. Beautiful curiosities in every corner, lovely garden. Do yourself a favour and stay here. We loved buying some Karoo lamb and braaing it in the kitchen fire place. They really understood the venturi effect in the 1800s when it was built; the indoor fire, local produce and exceptional gas range are a cooks dream. Not to mention the local art and beautiful old architecture. 11/10.

A perfect escape into the serene! This peaceful farm cabin near Calitzdorp is a hidden treasure. Waking up to birdsong and the stars dancing in the clear night sky - unmatched Klein Karoo magic. The location is ideal, the host exceptional, and the amenities more than you’d expect for a getaway like this. I left feeling completely refreshed. Highly highly recommended. Thank you Petro ✨

Ingrid was a lovely host, her home is beautiful, has everything one needs and a great base to explore the region. Will certainly come back in future. Her Labrador pup named Chloe was so cute as well!

We stayed one night in the Old School Cottage and then we extended our stay to one night in the Birds Nest Cottage. Altough the Old School Cottage had a very special flair, we preferred the Birds Nest, we thought it was more cosy. The location of both is great, we could enjoy a wonderful starry sky.

Great stay at Red Stone Hills once again. Perfect stop on the way back to Cape Town.

Hidden gem! Surrounded by beautiful nature, it offered the perfect peaceful escape. Petro was a great host and shared fascinating info about the local area and its history, which made my stay even more special. Felt right at home and would love to come back. Very pleased

One of the most comfortable stays of our 3 week trip. Exceeded our expectations in every way. Clean, comfortable, spacious and so beautifully fully decorated with every need covered. Howard kindly put up a gate on the verandah until our little Asha had settled into our 'home' and we could let her out into the large secured Karoo garden. Just amazing!! Thank you! Joanna and Roddy
