Reservation, checkin and checkout were smooth. The unit is bigger than it appears in the pictures with a good sized living/dining/kitchen that is open plan and nice sized bedrooms upstairs. The WiFi worked well and there is a TV in the living room and every bedroom. If you want a more analog experience, a few TVs have VCRs and there is a wide selection of family friendly VHS tapes.

Nice house in a great location. Close to downtown Davis and activities at Canaan resort. Kid friendly space upstairs. The kitchen has the necessities for cooking and is open to the living room. The host is responsive and was easy to communicate with.

We really enjoyed staying at this Air BnB, especially since we were permitted to have a dog there. We enjoyed how close it is to Canaan Valley Ski Resort, Blackwater Falls State Park and Davis, WV. The beds were comfortable and accommodations were as expected.

We enjoyed our stay and found the house to fit our needs very well. Six adults and four 6 and under children. Everyone had space. The Owner was very responsive to any issues we encountered and genuinely interested in our comfort.

We enjoyed our stay in Jacqueline’s comfortable and cozy home. The private access and outdoor area made check-in and out very easy, and any questions we had were quickly answered. Buckhannon is a small, quaint town, so we weren’t sure what options we’d have for visiting family and friends, and were so glad we found this little spot!

We really loved our stay in this beautiful house with the natural surroundings. It was really nice to have lots of windows and doors to enjoy the natural lighting and the breeze through the trees. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathrooms were nicely done and had good counter space and storage for our stay. I loved having the closet and dresser in the primary bedroom, which allowed me to put away my clothes. The furniture and lighting was tasteful and added to our stay. The fireplace and sauna were nice accessories. The EV charger was wonderful for us to have and really made our stay much more convenient. We would 1000% stay here again!

place matches the pictures! has lots of space for everyone and is close to snowshoe for skiing. little tricky getting up and down to it but that's described in the listing! there were A LOT of lady bugs everywhere. out of everything my groups biggest suggestion for the place would be some form or curtains. especially for the day bed that's in the loft, just having the option to close them would have been nice. otherwise, good place and good value

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Leslie’s Canaan Valley Ski Retreat, and I can't say enough good things about the experience! The house was incredibly comfortable and perfectly equipped for our needs. The location is fantastic—just a short drive to the ski slopes, making it super convenient for our winter adventures. Leslie was an outstanding host, communicating with us promptly and ensuring that the house was stocked to perfection. From kitchen essentials to cozy blankets, she truly thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend Leslie’s retreat to anyone looking for a cozy getaway in Canaan Valley. Wonderful home for our large group and kids had own area downstairs. Hot tub was perfect way to end day after skiing. Snow Shoe Resort short drive away. Would rent again if we can back to Snow Shoe.

Kevin was very responsive and the property was in a peaceful setting. Nice touches like tea bags and pitcher to make iced tea which we sweetened with the honey he gifted! It was a very relaxing weekend in this quiet country home!

This was the best, most comfortable and cleanest rental we have ever been in, the most at home feeling. Even the pictures on the walls were well thought out and chosen. The beds were most comfortable and warm. I can go on and on but the bottom line is that we confidently want to go back and enjoy a wee bit more time.

Christina's place is an ideal launching pad for skiing / exploring Canaan Valley. We used it as a home base for a weekend at Timberline (10 mins drive). The house is clean and comfortable, and located in a quiet neighborhood.

Very nice, clean and comfortable place to stay. Bathrooms were spotless and nicely updated. Pre-cut firewood and kindling were a nice touch as well. We really enjoyed our stay!

The family owned “lodge” was perfect for our stay; spacious, clean, quiet, and well laid out for times together or when private time is desired. Well stocked kitchen with everything needed to eat in. Several restaurants nearby: the town of Thomas had unique stores & galleries. Davis, WV had a nice, established brewery. Skiing, sledding, tubing, disc golf activities nearby. Brandie (owner) was very helpful & responsive when questions arose. Great place for families, etc. Highly recommend when visiting the area.

This property was very beautiful and convenient for our group of 10. Clear check-in instructions and Mary was very quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend for a nice weekend!

Our group loved this home! It was conveniently located close to the lodge, however I do not recommend the walk in ski boots. The mudroom was perfect for getting ready and drying out clothes. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of counter space. We would definitely stay here again.

This place surpassed our expectations. The house was more spacious than it looked online. There’s hiking, skiing, and fishing in the area. There’s a farm behind the house and they run a petting zoo in the warmer months. It would be great for kids and animal lovers. My wife loved waking up to watch the cows and mini horses while drinking coffee. There aren’t many restaurants nearby, but the kitchen is very nice with all the basics. We recommend this place and would love to stay here again!

Great place with cool history. My family took a weekend ski trip here. Beautiful scenery right on the river. Would definitely stay here again if we come back!
