We had a great time staying here for spring break. Will definitely come back and book again. It was everything we needed and we were taken care of and any questions we had were answered quickly.

We loved our stay at this cozy cabin, especially the views, peacefulness, and that it’s tucked up into a quiet neighborhood above town but only a few minutes drive away. The host was fantastic with recommendations for local activities/restaurants/saloons, and communicated just the right amount to check in with us. Appreciated the stocked coffee (and other staples), comfy spa-like bedding, great water pressure in the shower, and overall the warm cabin ambiance with paneled pine throughout. This was the perfect size for a couple + dog, but can easily accommodate up to 6 with the loft bedroom. The cabin was a great base for skiing at Wolf Creek, hiking, and day trips to Creede and Del Norte, which provided stunningly beautiful drives (especially to Creede), but also some delicious foodie finds and local brews . We even embarked on a longer day trip with stops in Gunnison, Crested Butte, and Salida, which was very doable from South Fork. Highly recommend this cabin in this special place!

Beyond fantastic! This place is a gem. It hurts to write a great review because I wish I could keep it a secret. Everything about this place screams a great time away from mundane life and recharging in nature. If you like to fly fish, there are monsters to be had in the river. The ranch dogs, Povi and RuRu kept my two little sons entertained and Glenn was more than a gracious host. This isn’t some minute by minute planned out ranch experience where you over pay for a catered trip that leaves you unfulfilled. This property is a two-bedroom log cabin on the owner's farm North of Monte Vista, Colorado in the beautiful San Luis Valley. Very private, and interior done to a high standard.

We loved our week at Alpine Spruce Cabin in South Fork. It worked great for our group, two families traveling together! The cabin is spacious, cozy and well stocked. Janet was gracious and helpful. The well-equipped kitchen worked great to feed our group. (We made breakfast and supper each day plus packed picnic lunches.) Ample dishes, knives, and silverware plus kitchen basics like some spices, salt and pepper, flour, etc., made cooking a breeze. After long days of skiing at Wolf Creek (25 minutes away) or an adventure to the Great Sand Dunes National Park (75 minutes away), we came back to the cabin to enjoy plenty of games, puzzles and the foosball table. There’s some uniquenesses to this remodeled cabin. The washer is in the kitchen and the dryer is in a garage area. The bunk room is through one of the bedrooms and the bathroom or a quick walk around the outside to the back entrance. Overall, the owners have done a wonderful job making this cabin a great home away from home!

Very convenient, quiet and cozy place to stay in South Fork!

Great place! We really enjoyed our stay! The guys hit the trail in the backyard as soon as we pulled in. The place is actually more spacious than the pictures show. Very cute, cozy and comfortable. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed the convenience of walking to restaurants and coffee shops. Melissa and Steve were great communicators, letting us know about some road construction and how to get around it. We would definitely stay again!
