Fantastic girls getaway weekend! The house was amazing! I felt my blood pressure drop the moment I sat on the rocking chair with the stream gurgling below and bird songs from the trees. Highly recommend!

This place was wonderful! The air bnb is a very beautiful, unique and fun historical home! Janeen was very accommodating and very responsive! The air bnb is stocked with everything you could possibly need! The back porch over looking the river was my favorite spot! Very peaceful and serene! I loved this place and would definitely stay again.

This cabin is one of the coolest cabins we've ever stayed in! Honestly, the pictures don't quite do it justice. So much character and charm...and the kitchen had brand new, retro-looking appliances that had just been installed and just added to the whole experience! My wife and I took our son and his girlfriend for the weekend so we could celebrate her birthday and they loved it, too. We've been to Lexington a lot over the years and always enjoy walking around downtown, going to Virginia Safari Park and going to to the drive in movie theater. We're planning on going back when the weather is warmer and we can get out on the river. Betsy is a wonderful host and I honestly can't think of anything negative to say. If you're looking for a cozy, cool cabin that gives you some privacy, but is still close to Lexington, this cabin needs to be on your list! Betsy, thanks for everything!

The location was convenient, and the host was incredibly responsive and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. My husband and I had a fantastic time at the cabin. It was a little tricky to find but once we re-checked the check-in photos and instructions Dee included, we found it right away. The cabin is very clean, and the perfect balance of “rustic” and comfort. We enjoyed climbing the ladder between floors- we felt like kids in a treehouse! The hot tub is well positioned to maximize the view. Everything was perfectly relaxing, quiet, and peaceful. We’d love to come back again and would recommend Dee’s cabin to friends. Unrelated to the cabin, there’s a little stack of local info by the tv on the main floor and after sorting through it looking for dinner recommendations we decided to try Vito’s. It was auh-mazing! Definitely check out this dinner option if you’re up for the 20 minute drive. Thanks, Dee! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Quiet cabin in the woods. We were very pleased with the added bonus of fresh muffins and eggs that they left by the host. Great woods surround the cabin and we had several deer come through during our stay. Even though it was cold out we were still able to be warm inside and the cabin did have good hot water.

I had a great last minute getaway here and I agree with the other reviews, it’s so much better than the pictures give it credit for and was so comfortable with everything I needed. It is located adjacent to another property, it’s above the garage although only one or two steps if mobility is a concern for you, it’s very accessible. No one was using the other property so it was great to be alone. I had coffee on the front porch every morning as the deer came to say hi and listened to the beautiful soft (read very quiet) church bells in the distance on Sunday morning and watched as the sun rose over the trees. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Easy access to hikes with my dog we both enjoyed the yard. She would lie in the grass by the fire pit and we watched the sun set after a long day of hiking. I recommend bringing your food as I didn’t see too many restaurants, also I had cell service with both Verizon and T-Mobile. All in all a great place if you’re looking to escape!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Jane's. She was immediately available by phone and solved the problem when we were slightly confused by the check in system.There were only four of us so we did not take full advantage of the full scope of the offerings which would accommodate a much larger group.I'm sure it is a fun annual destination for larger groups and families. All modern appliances in the kitchen make it easy to use and take care of -- everything you need for an enjoyable visit is included. Highly recommended!!!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin! We loved the decor, cozy feeling, and the view from the front porch was absolutely stunning. We sat on the porch multiple times, and the only sounds we could hear were birds and the occasional moo from the cows in the pasture. The beds were comfy. The attention to detail is wonderful and we hope to return for a longer stay at some point.

Nothing short of amazing! I’ve visited a couple of places and this cabin exceeded all expectations. From the moment you pull up to the driveway and open the door ~ positive vibes! If you may forgotten to pack anything - they will have it there. Even if you forgotten to pack your peace of mind - there will be a wonderful set of rocking chairs and a creek. Thank for you for the opportunity to stay at your beloved cabin! We intend to be back SOON!

3rd time staying at the wonderful cabin! One of my now 14 year old son's favorite places to stay ever. Beautiful space, perfect location! David and Amanda are lovely!

Perfect in every way. The cabin had plenty of room and all we needed. The outside was exactly what I was looking for in a mini getaway. You can hear the creek inside the cabin. ❤️. The creek on the property was why I chose this and it was all I hoped it would be. The creek is where we spent most of our time, exploring , splashing and making mud pies. We ate dinner on the awesome porch (rocking chairs included) each night and had our coffee and tea in the morning. Alicia’s recommendations were on point (age appropriate) and about 10-15 miles away down the windy mountain road. ❤️. The fire pit added to our fun roasting marshmallows and hot dogs. Don’t forget to bring a hammock and water shoes or boots for the creek. Keep in mind I came with a 3 1/2 year old. The first thing she said was I want to stay here forever. Great spot. If I didn’t have the little one I would have done longer hikes and checked out the wineries. Overall a fantastic location, accommodations and price Thanks Alicia.

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah’s cabin. The space was clean and comfortable, and the views of the surrounding property were beautiful. Sarah went out of her way to make us feel both welcome and at home. In fact, she left us breakfast supplies, including fresh eggs and homemade muffins! (She even left us supples to make s’mores!) The location was super convenient for us to visit the Virginia Safari Park and the Natural Bridge State Park as well.

The view from the porch is absolutely beautiful. We loved the covered porch so very much easy access to the highway. I would stay again and hope to.

The cabin was amazing. Exceptionally clean! It has all the charm and comfort items you would need for a week. The cows are a sweet added bonus. A quiet and peaceful location with spectacular views.

Was a beautiful house and even more beautiful Property. The creek was beautiful, lots of area for kids to explore. Very well kept. The only issue we had was we could not find the cute fire pit by the creek the pictures showed. Other than that we had a great time and would highly recommend. Also should be stated to bring plenty of bottles or jugs of water.

We cannot say enough great things about the owners and this beautiful cabin!! If you are thinking about booking, think no more and do it! Not only was it absolutely beautiful on the inside but the area outside of the cabin made us feel like we were in our own sweet world. We saw deer, squirrels, so many birds, it was on the river and it was dreamy. The cabin itself was so fun! To stay in a real log cabin was a bucket list item and it was very pristine. There were wonderfully helpful notes all around to help us out and did I mention it was beautiful?!???

Melody’s Little Cabin in the Woods was exactly what my wife and I were looking for to disconnect from technology(although fast wifi was available) and reconnect with each other, and nature. We chose Melody’s accommodations because of its proximity to Big Spring Farm, and the seclusiveness of the property itself. My wife and I love the outdoors and hiking, so having some great walkable paths right outside the cabin, made for great peaceful mornings. The cabin itself was exactly as you’d expect an 1800’s cabin to feel, with the addition of the basic modern luxuries most would hope to have on a vacation. We will definitely be booking again in the future! Thank you!
