We absolutely loved staying at Martha's home. It was spacious, clean and surrounded by beauty. Just a short drive into town where you can get great food, coffee and shopping, as well as a short drive to many hikes. We brought our dog, who has a lot of energy and hiked him every day we were there. Martha had a little welcome basket for us when we arrived and was always reachable by phone. The beds and sheets were so comfortable that our friends actually looked up the brand of sheets and bought their own set! If we are ever in need of staying in the Lexington area again, we would stay at Martha's home in a heartbeat.

My family and I enjoyed our short time at Robins home. The view was stunning. We even had a little snow on our arrival and that made it magical. The house was so clean and the beds were so comfortable. We had everything we needed to make a nice dinner for our family. The outdoor area and fire pit were perfect for a chilly evening. Robin was such a wonderful and welcoming host. We are looking forward to our next visit to Lexington in the near future!

This was the most thoughtful host and well-stocked home! They thought of everything-COMPLETE breakfast fixings (coffee & creamer, fresh eggs, sausage, bacon, grits, bread, fruit, yogurt, cinnamon rolls, cereal, homemade jelly, juices, hot chocolate)!! Wow!! They even provided snacks-popcorn, s’mores, etc! Plus, soap and toiletries! It was so nice to have EVERYTHING and not have to go shopping for necessities. The view was beautiful. Would definitely recommend The Old Parsonage! Loved it!

We had a great stay at Karen’s place. Our kids loved all the paintings and the crib was nice for my toddler. There was plenty of space. Karen was very responsive. The location was perfect for the Virginia Safari and Natural bridge. We would definitely recommend!

Charming property, perfectly situated for walkable Lexington! Generous size yet still cozy. Everything provided was in excellent condition. We recommend and will use again if we visit again!

Such a wonderful stay! Everything was perfect—beautiful space, amazing host. Cozy, clean, and felt like a home away from home. We really appreciated the extra touches especially the coffee press! The location was perfect—close to everything but still quiet enough to relax. Super easy and seamless check-in and check-out. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Because of work travel we stay at many properties. This by far was the most beautiful home, view and property we have stayed at. The beds were extremely comfortable with lovely sheets and comforters. The house was beautifully done and very clean. The property is absolutely gorgeous with views of the mountains that you can sit outside and enjoy on the beautiful balcony that wraps around the home. It also has gorgeous flowers and plants throughout the entire property that I imagine the owner takes much time and pride in taking care of! Truly a gem. On top of it being a beautiful location and property, I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner himself who was a delight. On arrival, I opened the fridge and found fresh eggs and a note from the owner’s own farm…such a special touch. It is not often that I get to enjoy a work trip that also feels like a mini vacation while at an Airbnb, and this was absolutely that. Bravo…this is the caliber all Airbnb homes should want to rise to.

It was a perfect place, even for energetic children, plenty of room and separate places for hanging out and dining. Comfy stuffed chairs and comfortable beds. The kitchen is well equipped. The water pressure was a little low for showers. Everything worked fine. Hope to try it out in the summertime!

This house was fantastic and offered an unforgettable opportunity for me and my family to spend a VMI reunion together. The house was very clean and comfortable. Justin even ordered a fire pit for us to use and enjoy. The house is about a 10 minute drive to VMI and W&L. I would definitely recommend this house for a reunion weekend or a place to stay while enjoying Lexington and the surrounding area.

This hidden gem outside of Lexington was wonderful. The surrounding area is quiet and scenic. You're deceptively close to downtown and surrounding destinations for hiking, scenic drives and solid restaurants. More importantly, the accomodations were easy to access, spotless inside and very comfortable. The hosts were friendly, responsive and accomodating to all our requests. Easily one of the best AirBnB experiences I've had. I highly recommend, and I'd stay here again.

I had a great last minute getaway here and I agree with the other reviews, it’s so much better than the pictures give it credit for and was so comfortable with everything I needed. It is located adjacent to another property, it’s above the garage although only one or two steps if mobility is a concern for you, it’s very accessible. No one was using the other property so it was great to be alone. I had coffee on the front porch every morning as the deer came to say hi and listened to the beautiful soft (read very quiet) church bells in the distance on Sunday morning and watched as the sun rose over the trees. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Easy access to hikes with my dog we both enjoyed the yard. She would lie in the grass by the fire pit and we watched the sun set after a long day of hiking. I recommend bringing your food as I didn’t see too many restaurants, also I had cell service with both Verizon and T-Mobile. All in all a great place if you’re looking to escape!!

Location was great for Bath County. You'll need to either have a high clearance vehicle to ford the creek or walk over the foot bridge. The water smells like sulfur, but it didn't bother my family too much (bring your own water to drink like W&L recommend).

Nice views, peaceful setting. Plenty of space for a family of 4. Chessie Trail was great for running in the mornings, just a 1/2 mile from the house. We were there for a horse show and did not get to explore the area too much, but certainly seemed like there was plenty of hiking opportunities if we had more time.

From the first glimpse of the rolling farm hills and quietly grazing cows we knew we had a good place to get away from our ordinary lives. Brendan met us when we arrived at the quaint location: rambling farm home and adjacent out-buildings close to a lovely stream with weeping willows, wild flowers. Brendan helped us with our luggage and showed us around so we could get the most from our stay. We took walks along the farm roads and enjoyed our time in and out of the house. The outdoor shower was fun and I loved the deep claw foot tub.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful setting! Fully stocked kitchen and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Tons of space for people and pets alike. For horse people this stay is a short 14 min drive to the Virginia Horse Center. Highly recommend all around!!

We had an amazing time! The cottage was clean, extremely stocked with lots of extras which was so nice. The views are incredible. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. They are close if you need anything but the house is very private. The adults, kid and dogs loved it! Hope to come back again!

This house was the perfect long-weekend getaway for our family. We were looking for a quiet, secluded place to stay that was within an hour of both Natural Bridge State Park and The Blue Ridge Tunnel. We loved that the property had a creekside outdoor space and a very big and comfortable porch for enjoying the beautiful scenery and spring weather. The chickens that live on the property brought us joy as well.
