Our homy mountain retreat used to be my grandparents' place and has been completely renovated just recently. We wanted to preserve the snug and cosy traditional atmosphere with a combination of traditional furniture and a more modern almost minimalistic kind of interior. We kept parts of the traditional furniture and a beautiful collection of my granddad's handcarved portraits on the ground floor and combined it with bright wood and white on the first floor to leaven the atmosphere.
The house is located close to the city-centre of Kaprun next to a small stream in a beautiful garden. It consists of two floors, with a bathroom on each floor. The ground floor offers a new furnished kitchen, a big living and dining room with a fireplace and a traditional dining area and a cosy sleeping booth with a king-size bed. The way into the garden leads over the spacious veranda with a breath-taking view of the nearby Kitzsteinhorn glacier. The bathroom on the ground floor has a bathtub and in-floor heating, perfect after an exhausting day on the slopes. The fully equipped kitchen offers everything a passionate “chef de cuisine” could possibly need. If you need a place to rest after a long day of skiing, the cosy and spacious living-room couch and the big smart-TV are the perfect spot for you.
The first floor contains of 3 bedrooms, a small kitchenette and a second bathroom with a shower, which offers a quite beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. The master bedroom offers a king-size bed for two, a balcony with a beautiful mountain view and of course a roomy closet to fit all your skiing or hiking equipment. The second bedroom contains of a single bed, a closet, a small workplace with fast Wi-Fi and a unique bookshelf. The third bedroom also has a single bed, a closet and a comfy armchair to relax with a thrilling book.
Last but not least there is a heated ski cellar to keep your equipment warm and save during the night.
