I do say in the listing that the location is "in a very rural setting"....."at the end of a 1/3 mile, rural, private lane." And yes, as a lobsterman and boatbuilder I do have an ever-changing dooryard but the fabulous views of the river from the apt are in the opposite direction. There is an outside light as I showed you for returning after dark.
Not sure what you mean by the reference to seating as the photos show the loveseat, recliner, etc as well as kitchen table and chairs.
I can assure you the linens are always freshly washed before each guest arrives and the floors, and all surfaces are washed and cleaned as well.
The dock actually does have seating at the end of it, 2 stools and a weathered wood counter which guests are welcome to use.
As far as value, the nearby Hampton Inn gets $146/night for a single room overlooking either the parking lot or busy Route 1 far from the water. In comparison, for $80/night I'm offering a one bedroom apt that sleeps 3 with full kitchen and great water views only 75' from the water's edge, a dock to sit on and ability to launch a canoe or kayak from the property.
A non-corporate experience is not to everyone's liking but the vast majority of my guests love the peace and quiet and close-up water views from Heron Cove apt.
