This cabin is a great option if you enjoy a rustic and camping-like atmosphere combined with the luxury of an indoor stove, shower and bed. The cabin is small but provides everything you need, plus there is a fire ring and table outside and a private beach and amazing view at the top of the hill. I only wish I had known there were two cabins side by side so I could arrange to have some friends stay there at the same time. It was lovely and so were our hosts. Very quiet and right near the Roque Bluffs State Park which is gorgeous.

If you like rustic, quaint, no frills camping this is the place for you...their is only one other lodge next to you so it is very quiet and serene...we were amazed on how Lisa was able to fit everything into such a small (URL HIDDEN) has a kitchenette, with all the dishes, pots and pans, small refrigerator and even a coffee do need to bring all your supplies with, tea, sugar...ext..the lodge has an indoor bathroom which does supply clean towels and (URL HIDDEN) has a shower an experience you won't forget...their are two full size beds very comfy and a bureau/Quilts ...a make shift table, and a reading nook...WOW you will be surprised and a bit awed when you see the size of the cottage...and the view at the top of the blueberry barren's hill will blow your socks off...bring a camera...we also saw wild (URL HIDDEN) does have a few issues which I brought to Lisa's attention; which is the reason we gave it a 4 star rating...couple of shades for privacy...reading lamp for the reading nook would be great...also not the reason for the 4 star...their is a clunking noise which is very loud that was disturbing our peace...but hopefully Lisa will address the problem and make it go away...We will come back again...We loved it...<3 Ruthanne

Thank you Ruthanne for staying with us. I enjoyed meeting you and your husband. I received your note. Thank you for your suggestions. The click(noise) you mention in your review is the septic tank control which turns on when the tank is full and needs to pumped. Sorry I didn't tell you about it in advance. I also wanted to respond to the comment about bring supplies with you because I have noticed it in several other reviews. We are located 6 miles (10 mins away) for a grocery store in Machias. Machias also has several other little stores for buying those little things that our guests may need such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and food. No need to bring all those little things with you especially if you are spending more than one night with us. We do live in the country so stores are closed by 9pm every night and restaurants close around 8p.m on the weekday. Part of the Downeast charm. Thank you for visiting with us!

The cabin was great, a perfect return to (rustic) civilization during a weeklong car camping trip. It had everything we could've asked for - an electric heater, a fully appointed kitchen, a shower with hot water, a porch, an outdoor picnic table and grill. Lisa's Dad Wayne showed us to the place the night we arrived and was very friendly. We arrived during a rainstorm and the warm, dry cabin was a great place to hunker down. The next day we took a look around at the blueberry farm, which is beautiful and has a bunch of neat trails to explore. Lisa was very communicative and understanding about checkin and checkout. Overall, a great place to stay!

You will be staying in a basic cabin. The heater is very warm. The shower is a little tricky, but we were given a heads up by the host. Turn the hot on all the way and then add a teeny bit of cold water. The pots, pans, toaster, etc., were great and we used them. There's a picnic area outside. It was raining or else we would have tried to check it out. Would be a great place to stay for a weekend.

Be prepared for a rural Washington County setting-- two cabins very close together in a clearing in the woods beside an older blueberry farm. Lisa was open and friendly, and offers simple but clean accommodation and a warm reception. We had a little trouble finding the place because it was hard to distinguish the Jonesboro connector road from the actual Roque Bluffs road it intersects with; once you've identified the real Roque Bluffs Rd, be sure to turn at Welch's farmstand, not the house, and then you'll find the two cabins on your right. I would not recommend trying to find the place in the dark. Keep in mind there are no groceries nearby; there are rudimentary kitchenette facilities in the unit but bring any supplies you may need like tea, coffee, sugar, etc. It is a reasonable rural overnight stop en route via Route 1 to Eastport or parts North.

My wife and I stayed in Lisa's cabin at her blueberry farm for our anniversary trip. We loved the peace and quiet of the farm and we were able to enjoy some delicious fresh wild blueberries with our breakfast. The cabin is very clean and in a secluded location. There is warm running water for showers, and a stove for cooking meals. We packed a cooler and planned out meals in advance. We packed our kayaks along with us and spent the day exploring the bay and islands around Roque Bluffs. It was a perfect spot for us and we enjoyed our stay!
