Clearly our rules were misunderstood.
Before I begin explaining your one line, I want you to understand that this is:
1. our home
2. I am responsible for the security of my caretaker, his wife and his kids.
Therefore, rules that we have made are only to ensure the security of the guest and my staff.
Let me explain in detail:
As mentioned in our tips, Rs 400 was the charge from our farm to our local check-point.
Quote: "Please note that the first pickup/drop to our checkpoint will be free but the others will be chargeable at Rs 400 per round trip."
Points to note:
a) in the above quote "others" refers to other subsequent journeys to and from our local checkpoint.
b) the journey you requested was far beyond our checkpoint
c) price that you paid was to your own third-party taxi (it was not ours)
As mentioned in our rules :
Rule 3 (a) states "We do not entertain unannounced guests." This rule is pretty clear and the key word here is unannounced. We have no issues entertaining announced guests.
Rule 3 (b) states that "Visitors are not allowed after 10:00 pm for security purpose.” means that after 10 pm even "announced guests" will not be entertained.
Points to note:
Rule 3 (b) follows rule 3 (a) i.e. in simple words - if visitors come to the house then
1.please announce their visit before hand and,
2. if the the "announced" visitors are in the house they should leave by 10 pm.
I believe, you misread both "commute" and "visitors" rules. That aside, you were a good guest and you followed all other rules perfectly. We would love to have you over again. We have had excellent ratings from our guests and we hope to continue doing so.
