This gorgeous stone house is located in the very center of Santiago de Compostela - on a pedestrian street just a 2 minute walk from the famous Cathedral of St. James. Located in the historic core of the city (declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
This beautiful stone house has been in the family for generations and has been carefully renovated in keeping with its original charm. This spacious apartment (45m2) is located on the first floor (no elevator but only 15 steps up) and consists of an all-new fully equipped eat-in kitchen with dining table for 4 people, bathroom including bathtub/shower, and a hallway with an exposed stonewall leading to the spacious joint living room / bedroom area. It has a queen size bed as well as a new queen size sofa-bed to accommodate 4 people very comfortably. Exposed stone walls and hardwood floors extend throughout the house.
Guests at the apartment will enjoy all the amenities, including HDTV and wireless internet access (wi-fi). They will find the kitchen stocked with all the cookware, cutlery, etc needed for preparing home-cooked meals, along with an oven, range, refrigerator, coffee machine and a clothes-washing machine.
Situated in the heart of the monumental district on the lively Rua Nova – just step outside the house and you will be enveloped in the history of the city. Follow the way of St. James to it's final destination: the renowned pilgrimage site of the Catedral de Santiago. Wander the lively stone streets under arcades and through enchanting passageways, through beautiful parks and secluded cloisters, to discover the many wonders of the city. As you go for a stroll you can enjoy typical music of the region offered by musicians on the surrounding streets and plazas. An amazing array of restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, museums, markets are just outside the door so you can fully enjoy the city's thriving nightlife. And if you fancy a day trip, Galicia offers destinations galore: from exploring big cities and charming towns, to trekking through mountain trails and virgin forests, visiting solitary lighthouses atop dramatic sea-side cliffs or soaking in the sun on the coast's unspoilt beaches – you have it all within a half hour's ride.
You will be right in the center so you can walk absolutely everywhere! Buses, trains and taxis are just a few blocks away. If you're driving, there's a public parking garage just 2 minutes from the apartment at the Plaza de Galicia.

This is our family home, so guests are expected to treat it with respect and leave it in tidy and good condition on departure. Please remember that NO SMOKING is allowed in the house and no parties or large gatherings are permitted. All sets of keys and remotes must be returned at check-out. Only guests who form part of the reserved party can be at the property. If you move the furniture, you must move it back to its original position prior to check-out. Please note that bicycle storage is not allowed in the apartment or on the property and if you will have luggage sent to the house, you must schedule it to arrive once your stay has already commenced. The host reserves the right upon notice to enter the property for an inspection. The house does not have an elevator - access to the different floors of the house is via stairs, building entrance is cctv monitored. By booking the apartment, guests acknowledge that failure to observe these simple rules will result in termination of the stay and forfeiture of the rental fee & deposit. Please be sure to take all your belongings with you on check-out as we cannot be responsible for items left behind. Check-in is after 3:30pm and check-out is by 10:30am. Disappearing from the apartment without meeting for the scheduled check-out will result in a 50€ deposit deduction. Check-in/out between the hours of 11pm-8am is subject to a 20€ surcharge.
