Looks onto our beautiful orchid garden, terrace, salt-water pool, heated ozone jacuzzi & gas barbecue. The beach, shopping malls, International Congress Centre, Casino, Aquarium, Harbour, Golf, Rugby, Cricket & Swimming Stadiums +/- 5km. Walk to the University, Medical School, Glenwood Bakery, Parc & Goudens. Air Condition, WiFi, Sattelite TV.

We are extremely COVID conscious & want to ensure that your stay with us is as safe as possible. Every time you enter the property, it is requested that you wash your hands at the cleaning station, before you access the entrance pathway.

You are welcome to have a quiet family gathering.

However, we have had huge problems with unregistered guests, wild lock down parties and uncontrolled, alcohol fueled, gatherings. We want to be absolutely sure that this is not your intention.
For your safety & security, the common areas have surveillance cameras, which are monitored..
Security will remove you from the premises without recourse, should you violate AirBnB’s terms & Conditions & our house rules.

Access is strictly controlled! Unregistered guests, are not allowed onto the property.
In compliance with AirBnB’s GLOBAL BAN on Parties & in accordance with the government of South Africa’s declaration, that, establishment owners will be prosecuted should they allow parties or group gatherings, these are not allowed under any circumstances!

Each guest is required to be booked & paid for in advance, via AirBnB’s booking system. Without pre-approval, no additional guests can be added on the day of arrival, or during your stay

Should you be doing a last minute booking for the same day. Please contact us first. Due to the COVID cleaning procedure, this might not be possible.
The cottage is fully turn key furnished. It looks onto our beautiful garden, with orchids, vegetables & herbs, the terrace, pool & heated ozone jacuzzi. The open plan, fully equipped, air conditioned kitchen & lounge has a smart TV & work space.
Both TV’s are connected to the full DSTV bouquet. Ceiling fans are throughout. The en suite bedroom has a queen size bed & a smart TV. There is a convection microwave, full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher & washing machine.
There is the option of a futon bed in place of the office table. (This must be pre arranged)
Secure parking for 1 mid/large vehicle.
We live in the front section of the main house with our own private entrance. So are close buy if necessary.
There is a house in a separate building, with its own entrance, on the property. If it is occupied, there is a chance that you will bump into the other guest in the garden, pool, jacuzzi or parking.
You are supplied with amenities on arrival to get you started. Once these are depleted, they are for your own account.
Due to the close proximity of the swimming pool, children must have adult supervision at all times.
We are located in a quiet residential area.
All guests must provide a photo ID/Passport on arrival.
We take pride in our beautiful home & want to provide you with the best experience possible.
After having more than a few, very bad experiences, with the booked number of guests being exceeded & parties. We urge you to book elsewhere, if this is your intention! Helen Joseph Rd, only 2.4km away, has many bars & restaurants, making it the perfect place to meet with your friends.
We work extremely hard to maintain our 5 star rating which enables us to keep our Superhost status & want to be sure that we meet all your expectations.
Great care has been taken to be as precise as possible with our location & property description.
The beach is 5km away. uShaka Marine World is 5.6km.
We are 450 meters from the renowned Glenwood Bakery. It is 2.4km to Davenport Square Mall, grocery shopping & the restaurants & night life on Helen Joseph Road. Its 2.9km to Wilsons Warf & 3.5km to the yacht harbour. The International Congress Center is a 4.7km drive. It's 6km to the Moses Mabhida Stadium. We also have 2 private hospitals (Entabeni & St Augustine’s) within a 2km radius, as well as the university & medical school, both about 1.6km away. Penzance Primary School is 130 meters down the road, & Glenwood High School 1.3km along the road. Durban Girls High School is 260m up the hill.
Generally, everything is easily reachable within a +/-10 minute drive. The airport is 32km away.

We are centrally located in a quiet leafy, suburban neighbourhood, with Penzance, Glenwood & Durban Girls High schools, five major hospitals, two universities and the medical school all within a close proximity. We are a 450m walk from the renowned Glenwood Bakery & fabulous Parc Restuarant. Gouden's Indian take away (Voted the best “Bunny Chow”) is 500m down the road.
Grocery Shopping (Checkers & Woolworths) Dirks Butcher and a bottle store can all be found at Davenport Centre Mall on Helen Joseph Road, which is 2.4km away, where there are also many restaurants to choose from & a vibrant night life.
Spend the day at the beach, 5km away & watch the surfers from the piers or hire a surf board or kayak. Take a walk, or hire a bike for an edge of the sea view from our magnificent, 7km long beach front promenade stretching from uShaka to Blue Lagoon, where the river meets the sea.
Have breakfast or lunch at Circus, Circus or Surf Riders Cafe, directly on the promenade with a beautiful sea view & equipment hire close buy.
At the south end of the promenade, 5.7km away, is Ushaka Marine world, our world class aquarium & water park with a really nice shopping mall & restaurants as well.
Snorkel on Vetches Reef or Scuba Dive with Umhlanga Scuba, both very close to the aquarium. St Augustine’s & Entabeni private hospitals are up the hill, within a 2.1km radius.
KZN University & the Nelson Mandela Medical School, is an easy 1.6km walk.
Generally, most attractions are within a +/-10 minute drive.
Kings Park Rugby is 7km away & Kingsmead Cricket only 4.7km.
The Kings Park swimming stadium is 4.1km away. The International Congress Center is a 4.7km drive. It's 6km to the Moses Mabhida Stadium. Drive 6.3km to Suncoast Casino.
Take a boat around the harbour, book a fishing trip or eat at the restaurant’s on the waters edge at Wilsons Warf which is 2.9km away.
