FAMILIENREISE
This cottage was perfect for our family's long weekend getaway! Centrally located between a few towns where there were some great grocery stops to get everything you need for grilling out and picnicking. So relaxing, short walk to spectacular view of Mt Baker. We will definitely …

Cabin 89 was accurately represented in description and photos. Reading the "before you go" documents made sure there were no surprises upon arrival. The cabin was spacious enough for the four of us (two couples) and one dog. The kitchen had the dishes, tools, and appliances one…

Cabin #89 was perfect for our weekend getaway. In fact we may have enjoyed one of the last weekends with sunshiney weather for the season! And what a peaceful place to do so with our two dogs. The property has vegetation between neighbors, and privacy fencing around the hot tub …

I really enjoyed staying at cabin #89. The cabin was cozy and made us feel at home, but also really spacious. The scenic location was perfect for our weekend getaway, as we wanted to be removed from the typical city/crowded atmosphere. What stood out to me the most was the amou…

Hi Mochi: Thank you for the great review for Cabin #89! We are delighted to hear that your stay was both enjoyable, and also private. This cabin really shines when it comes to privacy. Although it is located in a planned resort-residential neighborhood, it is set back in a quiet cul-de-sac, so it really works well when you just need to get away from it all and don't want to be disturbed unnecessarily. Many thanks for the neat and tidy way in which you left the cabin upon departure. It was truly a pleasure hosting you, and we hope to become a regular part of your future travel destinations :) Happy trails, Dan

This place felt less like a cabin and more like a retirement home/corporate event space inside. There are rules and labels on everything (even reminding you to turn on the exhaust fan while you are in the shower) making you distracted and never able to fully relax. The neighb…

Hi Kari: Thank you for your review for Cabin #89! You mentioned that the cabin felt less a cabin and more like a retirement home(?)...not sure what you meant by that, as the cabin is tastefully decorated with an outdoorsy theme. The notes that you mentioned are designed to assist persons who may be unfamiliar with the vacation home rental experience (you are staying in someone's private residence, and yes, rules certainly do apply) which is typically quite different from a hotel/motel experience. You mentioned that the kitchen was "bare bones", but in your private notes you mentioned that it "was well equipped"...not sure what to make of that either. The hot tub was serviced just prior to your arrival and should have been set to operate at between 98 and 102 degrees (as specified by local health department regulations). It was operating at 101 degrees when it was checked upon your departure, and as we didn't hear from you at any time during your stay, we are not quite sure where the temp setting was at when you went to use it. Having said this, we'll certainly keep an eye on it to make certain that there are no issues going on with it. Bringing CD's is a very good idea. Being out in the country, we don't pull in many radio stations. As it states on our listing, there is no wifi at the cabin. Thank you for the neat and tidy way in which you left the cabin upon departure. We look forward to seeing you again soon :) Happy Trails, Dan
