A fresco of Rome's wolf mother will greet you upon entering the fully equipped kitchen of this top floor spacious 2 bed apartment. The large living room opens onto a connecting balcony overlooking a bustling and lively street. Experience a non-tourist, central Roman area with food & shops galore!

This much loved apartment has attained it's distinct Roman character over the past 6 years by many family and friends on countless visits to the eternal city. People of all nationalities have added a piece of their culture to the apartment that we call "Gubbio", after the street below. Via Oderisi da Gubbio is a lively and bustling thoroughfare with examples of busy Roman life every hour of the day or night. At whatever time suits you, you can always discover and enjoy it's delights.

The building has a serviced lift for you to reach the top (8th) floor or for a bit of exercise you can use the stairs. A friendly and helpful Portiere who speaks English is in the entrance reception during weekdays.

The apartment has a washing machine, fully equipped kitchen and unlimited wi-fi.

On one side of the apartment is a large double bedroom seperated by a spacious entrance and passage way which leads to a large living room on the other side of the apartment.
The living room also leads onto a balcony that joins with the kitchen.
The bathroom window opens onto the balcony.

Across the road 2 buses (the numb(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)) frequently travel into the centre within half an hour, whereas a 10 minute walk will get you to Rome's Trastevere Station with trains to Leonardo da Vinci (Fiumicino) airport (27 minutes) and the International train station Termini (15 minutes).
Also from Trastevere station you can get to St Peter's and the Vatican in 8 minutes.

Access to a walking/jogging/cycle path along the Tiber (Tevere) river is very close and is also a quick and uncongested route into the centre all the way up to the Vatican City.

Close by is Porta Portese; Rome's most famous Sunday Flea market. The apartment is in the Marconi area of Portuense and within 1 sq. km radius of the apartment is every shop and restaurant imaginable. Directly opposite is a good and large supermarket.

The living room has a large and comfortable ikea sofa bed and a single sofa bed.

Arrival after 9pm incurs a €10 courtesy fee on key hand over please.

Rubbish/trash in Rome is collected from the big bins blotted on every street. It is the responsibility of each household to bag and carry their waste material to one of these street bins that are emptied each day.

Washing Machine - turn the dial to "Rapido" for an energy saving half hour wash at 30 degrees. 2 in 1 liquid provided goes in 1st compartment to left.

Please switch off the air-conditioning while not in the apartment, the 2 machines sufficiently cool down the apartment rapidly once turned on.
Please also occasionally check the 2 buckets on the balcony, if they are full of water from the air-conditioning discharge hoses please empty them.

No parties or events.

Use anything in the fridge, on check-out day please only leave items with at least a 3 day use by date remaining.

The Oven, grill and stovetop are gas. Above to the right on the magnetic wall mount you will find a lighter. The markings are worn but it is still possible to make out which dials operate which stovetop burner.
From the left;
first dial = top left burner
Second dial = top right burner
Third dial = bottom left burner
Fourth dial = bottom right burner

The oven and grill should be lit with the long-nose lighter.

For late arrivals (after 9pm) please be advised that if I am not available please give Elmo, the Portiere of the building, €10 cash for handover of the keys.

Please only smoke on the balcony.
